Hi,
What would the best diet be for someone who has cancer ?
I think lots of fresh vegtable juices, making sure you have enough calories and protein e.t.c.
Does anyone know what juices you would need for this ?
Any stories of people winning the war over cancer from raw foods ?
Thanks,
Paul

There is Dave the Raw Trucker. He cured himself of colon cancer by juicing. Google him.
I would stop eating all sugar. When my Mother was fighting cancer she had trouble eating. She was so proud when she told the Doctor she was eating strawberry ice cream every night. I will never forget the Doctor's response, "The cancer likes sugar, too".

You could also try the website "hallelujah acres". www.hacres.com. Rev Malkmus healed his colon cancer and there is a wealth of information on that website about curing cancer. It can be done. Best of luck with your journey.

I would suggest The China Study regarding cancer and animal protein consumption.

I agree on the China Study. It was a real eye opener for me in terms of what I consider good nutrition and it charts cancers to animal protein/milk consumption.

I would go as close to 100% raw as possible, meaning only fruits and vegetables and a few raw nuts thrown in. Eat till full. Repeat. No meat. No dairy. No processed food. Think close to the source, as in 'apple' or 'watermelon'. If you can afford it - all organic.

No time to go look, but I'll bet Michigan Roman's thread is a good one....
Alkalize --I know someone who just cured her breast cancer by keeping her pH at 8 for 12 weeks. her cancer was gone in five mos.
I am not a vegan, and yet, to cleanse, you do not want ANY protein or fat. Well, after a couple wks of no fat, small amts are okay, such as flax or other EFA's....
Oxygen. Cancer hates oxygen. Breathe deeply, exercise. Germanium - a mineral adds oxygen to your system too. Get it as an angstrom mineral.
No sugar. I'd even cut the fruits way down.
other things/places to check out/google: Dr. Robert Young, Hippocrates Institute, Gerson Institute, acid/alkaline charts....

There's no way to NOT have ANY protein or fat in one's diet. EVERY live, living food contains amino acids which create protein and EVERY live, living foods contain fat to some degree and EVERY live, living food, contains natural sugars at some level.
Animal protein and fats and excess sugar is to be eliminated is my understanding.

When my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years ago I got a dvd from amazon about cancer and diet. It was realy good. One of the phrases that stood out to us was that eating sugar is like throwing gas on a fire

I saw a pleasantly surprising commercial on TV last night. It talked about finding a cure for cancer while showing a gentleman scrutinizing various plants in a jungle. Near the end of the commercial he pushes aside the jungle foliage to reveal the cure, a grocery store. The cure is a vegetarian diet. The ad was sponsored by the cancerproject.org.

try www.cancertutor.com. They have a good video that help you understand cancer and how you get it and how to get a cure by changing your diet. Good educational information.

Thanks for all the replys :)
My mum who has cancer yesterday started drinking just vegtable juice all day, after i said this would be the best thing to alkalize the body.
Last night she was complaining about a head ache and pain from the cancer also,
and she said she didn't feel to great either and very cold.
Today this afternoon when i came home from work, she was in bed and had a bad head , pain from the cancer, no energy , very very cold, and just felt really bad.
The last two days she has been juicing lots of carrots some yams, celery, some cucumber also.
Mostly carrot juice.
Today after thinking about this i thought she isn't getting enough glucose / fructose in her blood this is why she has a head ache and no energy.
So i gave her some watermelon juice, she had half a watermelon in the end and she feels better, the head ache is gone also she doesn't feel to cold and she got up out of bed and has some energy now.
This is only the second day of juicing.
I also have to say that the carrots were not organic,
Also she is used to drinking coffee with sugar and small amounts of cooked junk food, with sugary sauces.
Obviously im worried that she is feeling worse now she is juicing than when she was eating and drinking junk.
I personally think that carrots are not going down to well with her for what ever reason,
I think that she should be drinking green juices = celery , cucumber, and wheatgrass juice.
And also i think she needs her fruit juices for the glucose and fructose - for her energy and well being.
I am ordering some wheatgrass powder soon, and im hoping to see improvments while taking this.
I am a little worried about the fruit juices as a lot of people say sugar feeds the cancer,
Not sure if that is the case with fruit or fruit juices ?
I have read a lot of stories about people curing cancer with a raw vegan diet, fruits and vegtables,
So im not to sure what to think about Not eating the fruit if one has cancer.
I think the main goal or only goal is to alkalize the body and eat or drink just whole fresh raw foods.
Any imput or advice opinions e.t.c. is very welcome.
Thank you,
Paul

Paul, she is having a what is called a "healing crisis" and this is very normal. You can lessen the severity of it by going slower on the juicing. Going cold-turkey on caffeine and/or sugar can cause quite a headache and often make you feel as if a flu is coming on. This is a good thing. Should last a few days, maybe a week. But in the end, it is worth it. Right now, her body is clearing toxins super fast, and this is causing the feelings of being ill, headache/cold, etc. There is more info online regarding healing crisis.

My dad just told me about this book http://www.amazon.com/Anticancer-New-Life-David-Servan-Schreiber/dp/0670020346. Apparently, he recommends at least 80% plant foods, which impresses me....
