Alissa's book came in today. Now I get it! Going raw is getting easier and easier. I got my Omega VRT330 juicer in. I don't think I would have appreciated it had I not used the Breville first. The Breville is alright, but I like how the Omega VRT330 can squeeze more liquid, add pulp, and according to the manufacturer keep the enzymes alive up to 72 hours vs 15-20 mins in the high speed juicer...that will allow me to juice the evening before and be ready to run out the door in the morning.

The Excaliber dehydrator was back ordered and hopefully will ship this week. The sprouter hasn't arrived yet. :(

Changes I am seeing since starting this about 4 to 5 weeks ago and I am not 100% raw yet:

I am off pain medications
My skin feels smoother
I have tons of energy
I do not feel starved or wiped out midday
More sex, happy husband :D
Clearer brain
A positive outlook
No more swollen hands or achy knees

Thanks. The book has helped SO much. As great as this forum is, I needed the book to pour over and familiarize myself with this. BTW, today was my first 100% raw day. And I am just feeling better and better every day. I came to raw in a quest to find relief from chronic back pain and swollen joints. It is truly working.

Oddly enough, today I did not get lunch but had some almonds. It was a bizarre, busy day. Usually, if this had happened I would be crashing and cranky but I felt fine. I did have a big glass of pulpy green lemonade and about 6 little clementine oranges this morning. I don't want to make it a habit to go without lunch, sometimes it can't be helped. I am finding that I don't need these big meals anymore.

Well, off to bed to read some more....
