Hey everyone!!!!!

Guess what? I will be doing a Raw Food demonstration of Living on Live Foods at Whole Foods Market, 15900 SW Fwy, Sugarland, TX!!!!! Here is the ad on Whole Foods' site:

Intro to Raw Living Food with Renee Herndon- Saturday and Sunday (January 9-10, 2010) at 11:00 am

New to raw living food, or need a refresher course? Renee Herndon, a certified Living on Live Food instructor, is on hand to talk to you about the benefits of a raw food diet. She will even show you how to make a few yummy and creative dishes like zucchini pasta with marinara sauce!

Isnt this GREAT!!!! I'm too excited for words!!!! My only wish was that my friend Alissa could be there!!! But, I know that she will be there in spirit!

Hey, I've got my menu together!!! Here's what I will be serving on Saturday:

Bananas w/Strawberry Sauce (inspired by Alissa's Crepes)
Green Smoothie
Alissa's Flax Crackers
Onion Bread
A Nut Pate
Alissa's Zucchini Pasta w/Marinara Sauce
Renee's Broccoli/Carrot Salad
Strawberry Tart (using Alissa's Almond Crust)

I'm gonna change the menu up a bit for Sunday....still putting it together. I will have samples on hand for everything... I will also be preparing some things at the store. They are going to give me a microphone....(I'd LOVE to do Karaoke....:D, but I'll stick to talking about RAW!!!), so everyone will be able to hear me explain how to make the dishes!!!

I'm so excited! I don't want to forget anything! I've been reviewing my notes from Alissa's Class and I recently got an encouraging e-mail from her, so I think I'll be o.k.!!! I had some business cards made and got a Chef's Hat to wear!!!! :) I can't WAIT!!!!!

I just hope somebody shows up!!! :eek: AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Everyone REALLY loved the food!!! ESPECIALLY the MEN!!!!! OMGOODNESS!!!! EVERY GUY that tried the food absolutely LOVED it!!! I had a couple of "skeptics"... But, after trying it, they took my business card and said that they would totally eat this way!!!

My Best Friend was there to help me, which I REALLY appreciated! I got some good prospects for Living on Live Food Classes!!! I'm exhausted, though!!! Gonna go take a nap now! Tomorrow, I'm gonna be back there at 11am, so if you can, come on out!!!!

That's pretty awesome about the men, now to convert the wives/girlfriends and it's easy peasy in that household since the men seem to enjoy it already! Hmm...perhaps, I should ask if these were single men....cause i could use a raw food loving man in my life. Just saying...:p:p:p

My Sunday DEMO went EXTREMELY WELL!!! I was surprised at how many people turned out for it!!!! The reception that I received was EVEN BETTER on Sunday!!!! As soon as I was finished, the Manager at Whole Foods said, "Oh, PLEASE tell me that you'll do another one!!!!" There were about 7 that came on Sunday that was there on Saturday! I got a couple of CATERING offers, as well as VENDING offers from Whole Foods!!!!!!!!!!! It's SOOOO EXCITING!!!!

For Sunday I prepared Alissa's Rye Bagels (which were a HUGE, HUGE hit!!!), Alissa's Banana Berries and Cream (which everyone LOVED), and Green Smoothies!!!!

If you do another demo, I will be there!

AAAAHHHH!!!! I hope that you CAN be at the next one!!! I will do another one one February 20th!!!

Hmm...perhaps, I should ask if these were single men....cause i could use a raw food loving man in my life. Just saying...

LOL....LOL...LOL!!!!!

Wow!!!! Way to go, this is GREAT! Business is about to start BOOMING and when you love what you do (as much as you OBVIOUSLY do) it doesn't feel like work at all!

MY NEXT WHOLE FOODS DEMO WILL BE THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2010 FROM 2PM-3PM AND SUNDAY MARCH 21, 2010 FROM 11AM-12PM!!!

I am so excited!!! This will be my third month doing the demo at Whole Foods and I am having a BALL doing them!!!

I'm still getting my menu together, but I CAN tell you...everything will be DELICIOUS!!!! :)

Good to see ya again!!!! Yea, this has been WONDERFUL for me! I get to advertise my Alissa Cohen Classes to Clients I wouldn't have been able to speak with otherwise! It's been a door to other opportunities as well! My Raw Biz now includes making RAW Boxes! Check out my blog!

I also do a Demo at the Local Library! My last one, I had between 15-20 people! The word is spreading like crazy!!! It's so great!!! People are so ready for RAW!!!! :)

Renee, thankx for your reply. My friend is opening a cafe right front and center in our high faluttin town. She will have a transitional side with more standard fare (to hopefully keep the customers coming into the biz that is there right now(closing).

She is setting me up on the other side with a raw cafe. I am going to be doing classes there as well or I might get people started there and have classes somewhere else. It depends on what we decide together.

Anyway it is so awesome to finally have a location to base my teaching out of and prepare smoothies and juices and yummy raw goodness for people.

I spoke with a local CPA and he said that is prime location and far better to get myself in there than to freelance so I listen. Otherwise on my own, I am continually seeking work. Setting up my proposal for her, and get what I want and need, otherwise I might fly on my own.

I am thinking I prob wont have enough time to go out and do dems but will do them there in evening.

My prime focus of course is not to use it to the full and forget my main focus in life. I wont sell out. It has been offered to work my life away there. I am letting her know my priorities. I wont miss any of the other things for raw.haha

I have a raw girl who might be coming on board as part of this so I dont do it all. phew.

LOL!!!!! I'm gonna "try"!!! :D I've been doing good with just getting some photos!!! Actually, my Hubby took some video footage, but I just need to learn how to download it on youtube... Its an hour long, but they only allow 10 minutes, so I need to figure out how to edit it....just had no time to do it!!! But, I'm gonna try to work on it this week! :)

I also brought Alissa's Flax Crakers (can't leave home w/o 'em!!!)...

It was SO much FUN!!! I had almost 30 people stay for the entire hour!!! Some had seen me on the Great Day Houston Show, so this was a nice followup to that. I got several offers to take my Alissa Cohen Certification Classes, so I'm looking forward to doing that too!!

Well, gotta get ready for today's DEMO...

I am so happy to see that you are still doing the Whole Foods demos..I will have to come out to one..packing up a house, getting kids ready for summer and everything else is getting in my way so far..I will take that class from you though..maybe once school is out and the kids are bored out of their gourd..haha.

The chocolate tart, wowser...is that from LoLF's? and the Broccoli stir not fry..delish..jepp, I'd like that recipe too.

Thank you!!! No, just Cacao (can sub Carob), Agave, and Almonds in the crust!!! Delicious!!!! The Cream on top was made with Cashews and Coconut Meat/H2O.........SOOO Good!!!

Hey, you guys.....check this out!!! After many, many RAW Demo invitations, my younger Sister FINALLY went to see me at Whole Foods to taste my food on Saturday!!!!!!!!

She loved what she tasted so much that she sent me the following video from CNNBC: "RAW Vegan Chef Renee Announced as 2010 MomsRising Mother of the Decade."
