to make 1 gallon of apple juice?
I am wanting to juice my own apples for the fast, but I think it would be really expensive to juice that many apples since my daughter is doing it with me. We do have the organic apple juice in the glass jugs, and it hasn't been filtered, but I don't think it is raw??
Thanks!!
Cathy

dont know but ive done an apple juice fast and loved it

maybe youve got an orchard near where you could buy a huge
amount from at a discount . like 2 / 3 bushels

or at local produce store ask if can get bushels from them .
my local store works with me buying bulk stuff at a discount

Thank you Michigan Roman!!
I will check and see about the orchard, that's a good idea. I know if I tried to buy that many apples at our Whole Foods, it would cost a fortune!!

How much did you drink per day? 1 Gallon, 2 quarts??
Dr. Christopher suggest 16oz Prune Juice upon rising, and then wait 30 min.
and drink 8 oz of apple juice. Only drink water, and apple juice all
day, up to 1 gallon. Continue this for 3 days, then do a 1-3 days of water fasting. On day 7 drink either fruit or veggie juice. On day 8 add in the raw foods to break the fast.

How does that sound?

I'm excited about it tonight, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about this by tomorrow night ;)
I may need your encouragement!! :D

for me i initially read up on fasting and had all kinds of game plans and master cleanses then they all went out the window :D

i arrived at the attitude itll take many fasts or a very long water fast (like 30 days plus which im incapable of) to get real big results , and since its gonna take many or a life time habit (my plan) im not gonna stress on the minor details of each fast . i juice whats fresh and tasting good . though i do believe that lemon juice is cleansing / breaks down sludge so when trying solely water i like squeezing in alot of lemon

and on juice fast my style is drink only enough juice as is needed to keep my energy level sufficient , the rest all water

my heartiest most filling juice is a V8 type . when im nearly not able to fast anymore i can get extra days outta switching to the energizing V8 fast

so i dont listen to peoples juice specific details , its mostly how long you can keep the tract empty of solids that matters in my opinion because this allows body to work on excavating pollution

yes tomorrow when the appetite starts
to take control of your focus the battle begins ....:D

i like having my favorite mellow cd's to play to get into a more
relaxed state of mind which seems to simmer down my appetite

hope your daughters healing up good and healthy in 2010 :)

Hey Michigan Roman!

In your travels through fasting and fasting lit - what have you read/noticed about the time of year/weather in regards to fasting?

I've never fasted when it's cold out...

dont recall reading anything said about weather and fasting , but it would have been something i skipped over instantly / not retained as in my logic it doesnt matter beyond it being harder for me to stay warm fasting in the winter

that said my two longest fast of 20 days were during the winter

The bible tells us, fasting should be done in the desert for 40 days!!!

Thanks T-Bird, I think I am going to listen to that advice,
because my day of fasting went horrible, and I am SOO sick and still in so much pain.
Apple juice (even from fresh apples) doesn't agree with my digestion!!!

Sorry to hear that. But one day is an accomplishment, so don't despair....maybe in a week try another day - maybe a variety juice fast would sit better with you?
