I know there has been a lot of talk about the 3 day apple juice fast, pros and cons.
I was ready to start the fast/cleanse tomorrow morning, but got to thinking about the apple juice and was wondering if carrot juice would be a better choice?
I'm ready to cleanse and get back to raw, but I don't want to mess anything up either.
Thanks and Happy New Year!!

When I fasted for about 40 days last year, I pretty much exisited on carrot/apple/ginger juice, it was what I was craving at the time, I had one everyday.
Just go with the flow, you cant mess up having carrot juice! :p
Is there a reason you want mono juices, I find that at the start of the fast, I have a few combinations of juice, but towards the end, I simplify and go mono.
Good luck with your fast!

Carrot isn't better. Many people have more issue with it due to the sugar content and it will supposedly turn your skin yellow in high quantities. Apple is definitely better, though I still think adding some type of minerals is important-celery, greens, green powder. I prefer marine phytoplankton because it dissolves easily in juice.

Thank you both, but my day of fasting was a nightmare :(
I'm still so sick, and I don't think I want to try it again.
Thanks

Google the two juices and read about benefits of each. I just read
( http://www.cacoloncare.com/id28.html ) that carrot juice can be used in place of apple juice on the fast you've started.
I read your your post on other thread about details of your first day. I wish it had been a better day for you. As I read your post here today, I was reminded of a "difficult" first day with the Master Cleanse, which I used to do at least annually. Although I was pretty used to doing it, and had experienced periods of feeling achy, there was one occasion that I became increasingly achy (head, joints, back) on the first day and finally took some tylenol by the end of the day and called it quits.
During later discussions with natural health practioners and through reading, I learned that my experience was probably based on the toxins being released (rather rapidly). I then wished I had toughed it out, but at the moment I quit, I simply wanted instant relief.
I'm on day 3 of apple juice fast and today I've felt symptoms that I didn't feel on the first two days. I'm considering adding at least one more day, but I'm wondering if how I'll be able to stick to it at work. I've also considered doing a day of only carrot or other juice that is good for cleansing.

Well after my post yesterday, and thinking I couldn't do another day, I woke up this morning (at 10:00) ;) And was feeling much better. The gas pains were gone, and I wasn't feeling nausea. So I talked myself into doing another day, without the prune juice, just apple juice and water. So I made it through the day, and even though I was experiencing some bloating and gurgling, I did not feel as sick and as bad as yesterday. So here I am at day two of the juice fast :D and I haven't died LOL!!!
It really wasn't detox type symptoms, it was more that my stomach was about to explode, and I was in such horrible pain in the upper stomach area, and in the lower small bowels. I wonder if it has to do with the Gastroparesis and the small bowel motility disorder, and I just couldn't digest the prune juice, or either it caused an awful side effect. I wasn't going to the bathroom like I thought I would (bowel) but I sure wish I could have, and I think that would have helped the really full hurting feeling. All I know is that I thought I was going to pass out with the pain and the bloating. I really don't think it was the detox, just me not eliminating the juices.
So for 2 days I have done the apple and water, could I switch over to fresh carrot/beet/celery/cucumber juice tomorrow? I really like this blend of juice
and I think it will help my weak/faint feeling that I am experiencing tonight.
After church I had to do part of my grocery shopping, and that was really hard because I felt SOOO hungry, and the smells were making my tummy rumble.
Thanks everyone for your support and advice.
