Hi everyone. I am sort of a newbie, here anyway. I am returning to the raw lifestyle after 3 years during which I fought a long hard battle with weight gain and severe depression. I am back on the wagon (2 weeks on to be exact) and feeling great. I've lost 8 lbs and have a LOT more to lose. I can't wait to post my before and afters. Last time I went raw I weighed about 118 lbs. This time I started my journey at 188 lbs, so you can see I have a long way to go. I feel great, I am SO happy to be feeding my kids much healthier foods and I can't wait for the weight loss and increased energy and clear skin and bright eyes and everything else that comes with the raw lifestyle for me. I'm really glad to be here and will be scouring the forums for advice, encouragement & recipes. :D

i too have gained weight, amount? - won't get on a scale, go by how my clothes feel. I'm preparing for success by getting all my spices and equipment together to go at this journey. I'm excited and ready. I'm tired of fighting a fight that don't have to be fought. The fight is me resisting the change to the new me and holding on to the old me whom i don't want to be. So no more fighting and go for what i want and need and that's to be healthy by eating this way of life. There are too many things i want to achieve and it requires being healthy, physical and spiritually, can't separate the two. See you on the other side! The Healthy Side of Life!
Peace and Blessings,
Namaste:)

I too am coming back after around a 4 year hiatus and this time I am 100% committed. I am about the same weight as you are but this time I'm not so focused on losing weight but more on breaking my addiction to food and getting healthy. I spent many weeks on the Shrink Yourself program to understand my destructive relationship with food because I was in a cycle of depression, anxiety and eating to try to cope. The book is fantastic, the program helpful but frankly just reading the book changed my life.
I wish you the best in your journey! Give yourself huge props for knowing what is right for you and executing on it.
