Is it necessary to avoid strenuous exercise while on a fast (juice)?

I usually, based on books I've read in past years, only do liquid fasts when I can get lots of rest. My experience has been to feel achy and fatigued on the first few days of such a fast. However, after I registered for a couple of sports exercise classes that start in January, I felt the desire & need for a juice fast, which I haven't done in over a year.

Any advice or recommendations regarding doing things like Aerobics, Cycling, Tennis, Swimming while on a juice fast?

When I juice fasted two years ago I was biking at least 5 miles a day with no problems. I felt like I had more energy. I wanted to do more stuff. I couldn't go at my regular intensity level though. I took a relaxed pace.

But I think you need to gauge it day by day. Carefully consider your energy levels for each day. I feel the less active I am on a fast, the more internal healing my body will do. Some days your body will be eliminating more toxins and you will need to rest more.

If you have not Fasted in a while, you might need to take it easy for a few day in the beginning. But Fasting gives you SO MUCH ENERGY you will have to Burn it off some how.

I very much agree. I have only short fasted twice so I'm no expert but I did enjoy exercise while fasting - felt toxins moving out through the lymphatic system...awesome! But I had to see how I felt as to amount of time and how hard to work. I did enjoy a nice walk :)
