My name is Malissa and I am 37 years old, married, and have three children. I am tired of poisoning myself and need to be aggressive with changing my eating habits. It never used to bother me but now I can feel my body dying. I know this sounds carazy but it is serious and I need to do this for myself and my family. I have been researching for several years now and have never been able to follow through all of the way. Usually I give in because of my lack of will or my family wanting cake and potatoes. I really need someone experienced to hold my hand thorugh this until I can stand strong on my feet.

First and best thing to do is purchase Alissa's book and dvd's. The dvd's will show you how to create really great tasting food for not only you, but for your family as well. The book is HUGE. It could take the place of any 3 other uncook books you can find and loaded with information such as eating plans, sprouting information, before and afters, and over 300 recipes.

Welcome and enjoy!

Congratulations on deciding to make some changes! I can guarantee you - once you try it for a few days, you'll realize just how much your body enjoys eating raw and fresh!
I have to agree with purchasing Alissa's book. It's huge and chock full of some great recipes. There are also a ton of great recipes and forums online - I'm forever printing out recipes to try.
The one thing I would recommend is to arm yourself with plenty of snacks and treats. My vice is always salty things, so I always make sure I have crackers, kale chips, spiced nuts, and other salty things to nibble on when I'm feeling like I'm going to cheat. Or, if sweets are your thing, make yourself some of the lovely desserts and cookies. If you have raw treats, you are less likely to cheat and feel discouraged.
Good luck! This is a wonderful forum with great advice and support!
