I have found in the past that flax crackers have an unpleasant slick feel. Does grinding them take care of this? Or does anyone have an easy crcker recipe that doesn't include flax. Thanks so much, Kathy

Hi Kathy;
I have made several recipes with ground flax seed and in my opinion it changes the taste and consistency, not as chewy to me. I rather prefer them this way.
Take care, Paul Le May.

The Nature of Flax is to Jell but Grinding also releases all the Nuitrients. So try putting everything in the Vita-Mix spreading and Dehydrating and you will be quite Pleased.

I am with you on the flax "mouth feel" as we call it here. I have had wonderful luck subbing chia in equal amounts.
Also, the "just like ritz" or "zucchini crackers" have flax, but not much and I adore those so you might, too. I've reduced the flax with success and now just sub chia.

It's about bread, still applicable.

I haven't tried it yet, but Ihave been told that chia seeds can be a sub for flax. I don't like flax at all I think it tastes like nail polish remover. LOL
