I've been wanting to step my sprout game up so I could use a little direction from the sprouting messiahs before me. I was wondering how often certain things are raw... like if I buy Organic Lentils from any given healthfood store, whats the chance of them being sproutable? Does anyone know of anything that will surefire sprout, or has no chance of sprouting? Some other things I'm wondering about are Rye, Barley, Kamut, Quinoa, Garbanzo Beans, shoot tell me everything you know!
Well I'll start with what I know... I got Hard Wheat Berries and Popcorn kernels from my local healthfood sto' and they had great sprout success. Ok now it's your turn.

I had one bag of lentils that did not sprout and instead just rotted. Horrible. But I think generally speaking most seeds will sprout, of all the ones you listed. I am not a sprout maven, just have dabbled in it.
I like to keep a "stash" on hand - ready to make into recipes.
I haven't been able to get my organic raw pumpkin seeds (store bought) to sprout, so now I just soak and dehydrate.
I always soak and sprout sunflower seeds and then dehydrate.
I've successfully sprouted garbanzo beans and I've sprouted quinoa several times for salads.
I sprout and dehydrate buckwheat to keep on hand as part of my stash as well.
I haven't tried rye or kamut.*Ü*
