Chocolate Pecan Pie, the BEST!

I made this for dessert yesterday and it was SO DELICIOUS! It was so much like the "real thing" and well received by raw and non-raw alike. You can find a link to the recipe here (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/blog.php?b=16619).

It is from Jennifer Cornbleet's new Raw for Dessert book and was posted in a blog with permission.

I wish I had taken a picture, but it was oh so good. I used Irish Moss rather than agar agar since I had it on hand, and it turned out well. I used 3/4 cup for the top layer. I did have to sweeten it a tiny bit more to cover up the slight seaweed flavor. But once combined in the pie, that flavor disappeared.

Did you use 3/4 cup Irish Moss? or 3/4 oz? Measured before or after soaking? :o

3/4 cup measured after soaking. It was measured FROZEN so it was not packed.

I made the same pie back in November for a raw potluck -- they were swooning! It was also beautiful to look at -- see photo!

Jen Cornbleet's dessert book is a must-have.

I finished making this pie about 4 hours ago. I like it, but I like the I Am Perfect Pecan Pie from Cafe' Gratitude much better. I don't believe I will make it again - it is way too sweet for me.
