Raw soy and wheat free "soy sauce" alternative

Hello all,

My friend found a soy sauce substitute called Coconut Aminos put out by a company called Coconut Secret at Whole Foods that is supposedly raw. I tried some and it really did taste like soy sauce, it was just a little bit sweeter than plain soy sauce. I was amazed. It was really tasty and is apparently just coconut and sea salt.

Affirmative! We also recently found this. I have missed soy sauce so much, even prior to going raw. Can't do soy so this was a blessing to find. We had previously bought some bragg's but they had an allergen for me in them too. Highly recommend the coconut aminos.

I know! So many people are either sensitive to soy or wheat (or both). This has neither, so it is great!

There is a site online that shows you how to make fake soy sauce. It is a portabello mushroom sea salt and water. Blend. That's it.

I just got my Coconut Aminos this week!!! SOOOOO good!!! They've opened up a whole new world of salad dressings for me!!!! woohoo!!!:eek:

(can u tell I kinda like them?? Soy sauce was one of the things I became deathly allergic to and missed terribly...)

I need DopeRawAbundance to make a dancing coconut pic for me to express how happy something so simple makes me... :D

Apparently the company that makes them is coming out with a low GI coconut sweetener soon too! I can't wait!!!

It was in the aisle with all the soy sauces. You can ask your WF to carry it or you can order it directly from the company's website. The company is called Coconut Secret. http://www.coconutsecret.com/
