Hello there

I've been something of a lurker on the board for a few months, and have dabbled in raw foods for the past year, veering from 100% raw to a very shameful 20%. Having gained about 14lb in the last few months, I'm looking to lose the extra baggage, while adopting a lifestyle I feel is the most conducive to well being. I have suffered from a somewhat disorded approach to eating in the past, and have reached the stage where I'm no longer prepared to suffer faddy or unheathful diets for the sake of achieving some skinny ideal - I want to be slim but, more importantly, I want to feel (and be) healthy. Intuitivly, I feel raw is the best way of achieving this.

Anyways.... I'm looking to begin the "raw journey" tommorow, so thought I would post a plan of action today - tommorow has a habit of never coming around (for me anyway) so having a public record of my intentions may ensure I stick to them...fingers crossed !

So, to begin....
Current Stats
Height - 5.9inches
Weight - 152 lb

Goal Weight - 131 lb

To kick off, I'm aiming for a 7 day "fruit fast" - I'm coming off a fairly unhealthfull week, and want to simply my diet to a very basic form for a short time to kickstart the detox process and concentrate my mind. After that, I'll try for a two day water fast... I say "try"... I start getting the shakes at the mere though of skipping a meal so I'm not sure if I'll succed on this one. From then on, I will be incoparting a high percentage of greens, proteins and fats (i.e. hemp protein shakes, coconut, seeds, avacados... I have PCOS and find higher levels of fats and proteins (as opposed carbs, inc fruits) works best long term), along with root veges and unsweet fruits.

Sorry for the ramble... I promise to be shorter in future!

Wish me luck!
