Hello everyone,

My name is Pamela. I'm a vegan for 4 weeks because I was always a vegetarian on the inside, but never took the initiative to change my diet. This is because I didn't want to be difficult when dining with my family. Back then, I didn't know how to cook. I went to Culinary school, completed a year of Culinary Arts, and know how to cook almost anything if following a recipe.

So my question is: What are your entrees recommendations for beginners? Preferably fast, cheap, and easy(like vegan food ingredients). I'm not sure where to start.

Thank you so much for helping me out! I really appreciate your time and effort!

Welcome to raw, Pamela. Green Smoothies are the best thing to begin with. The easiest is bananas, baby spinach and water. Then you can do soups, wraps and salads. Tons of recipes on this forum and elsewhere on the internet.

I think it depends on you and the time you have at the moment. I have had a super busy three weeks since starting this. So I have done AM green lemonades (kale, romaine, apples, lemons), packed a lunch box with fruit, carrots, corn, my home made date/nut balls, easy stuff. I am still not 100% raw so supper might be soba noodles and raw veggies. I just started vacation until January 4 so this will give me some time to explore recipes, etc. I do the best I can with what time I have. You will probably have days where you have loads of time and feel adventurous and creative and days where you need some quick favorite stand bys. I look at it this way, I always did have to figure out what to eat and prepare, now I just prepare different things, and I don't have to wait for it to cook!

I was never involved with cloudmakers but I read all about the event and how it all went down. Really cool stuff.

Get Alissa's book and DVD....they come in a package deal. After watching her DVD, you'll be able to make ANY recipe from ANY book. Preparing raw/live food isn't hard, it's just different. The book will help you understand all the in's and out's of raw food and it will help you understand it better so you can have answers for all the questions that will come your way. Good luck!
