Hey guys, well. here it goes. i have a target date to stop smoking. (yes. again.) i have been addicted to nicotine since i was a teen. im 40 now. i was able to stop with meds and stayed off for 8 years but have been smoking cigars now for over 2 years. expensive offensive dirty etc. i know I am the only one who can stop. but i need help...
ok, i am NOT stopping on new years. thats a friday. i KNOW i wil smoke on that weekend...so im stopping BEFORE that. my stop date is last cigar Dec. 27th
my plan is INCREASE my green smooties from 2 a day to more. even have smoothie days. all smoothies. heavy on the greens. also, increase water intake to flush out.
any ideas what else i can do to head for success? things to snack on? (low cal please. dont want to add more weight) im not asking anyone to do it for me. i have to do it. im am asking for help...and maybe support?
thanks
matt

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) works very well on addictions.

showers and exercise helped me quit smoking. i'd jump on a machine or outside for a walk with the dogs until the craving passed and I'd move on to something else. showers did the same thing - gave me something to do while the craving passed plus I'd be all clean and wouldn't want to smell like smoke after anyway :o

I have been looking in the EFT like Rev suggested as I am now at 6mo and though doing well understand that having a full toolbox is always a good thing!

I second Revvells EFT. Just google it. The instructions are free and easy to do. Takes just a minute or two whenever you feel the need. Its very powerful but you GOTTA do it. Don't listen to the evil side telling you not too!!
