Okay, so I know this isn't directly related to raw food. But I found this report completely terrifying!

See how progressive we are in Canada! But seriously, I've never heard about anything like this before. Ahem, I don't suppose anyone here can think of a better solution?!

A case of 2 wrongs not making a right.
I love the comment from some guy that says "If mother nature wanted to have cancer fighting drugs in food she would have put them there"
Well Dah. She did in mine.

Thats an interesting link and story.
Here's another one that scares me: http://www.miamiyoga.com/Cooked_fats_cancer.html Its about "sticky" cooked fats.

I only listened a lil to the first one. I see that we live in a fear based world and for me, just for me, I cannot listen to this media stuff. Protecting my good vibes here.
Hmmm what lil bit I did listen....instead of not cooking the foods, lets add more poisin to "clean" up the poisins. Like taking a dirty mop to a dirty floor. huh? Why not STOP having things to mop up! Eat raw and living foods.

Hi EZrider! just went over to that link - that should convince just about anyone to go and stay raw! It's pretty well-known in the raw community that raw fats act differently in the body than cooked ones do. Out there in mainstream world there's all kinds of admonitions to be "low-fat" and to a certain degree that makes sense, especially if all one's fats that one is eating are indeed cooked, hence the danger. However, depending on individual physiology of course, including some healthy RAW fats is indeed beneficial and does not cause cancer or heart disease. You can bet I'm sticking with my avocados, raw nuts and seeds, a bit of coconut and olive oil. So-o much simpler too!

When I heard that on the news today the first thing I thought was thank God I don't eat any of that garbage anymore. It's very scary what they are putting in food. I do food demos at grocery stores and was doing a vegetable juice last weekend and a customer noticed MSG in the ingredients. I can't believe they are still putting that in food let alone a supposedly "healthy" vegetable juice - what a joke!

They are putting drugs in food! Does this feel like "Brave New World" to you. What if someone binges on food with this aspiringase in it, and O'D's on this drug.
No. No. NO. NO! This is terrible!

Amen! Another illustration of how much control the government, backed by big business lobbies, has over our food, which is the centre of our being. Honestly, my only "soma" lately has been green apples. :p
The whole thing actually fills me with a feeling of terror. Like, if they're only now realizing that refined carbs (which we've been eating for decades) cause cancer, what else will they soon discover is bad? Fake sugars? MSG? Pork fat? Excuse me if I'm a little bitter, but my mom, who is a DOCTOR, fed me microwaved pizza pops and bagel bites as a kid. And her cooking was mixing mushroom soup with something.
Perhaps I'm so turbulent because I just watched Alissa's food preparation DVD, and she looked RADIANT! I want to look like that!

And THAT craziness, my friends, is why we are all HERE!
