Hi everyone! I've been 100% raw for over a week now and it's looking great for me. I'm confident and sooo happy with my raw food. I finally feel stable with my raw food and I think I can TRULY make this a permanent change!

But I'm a little disappointed with my weight loss. I only lost 5 pounds, and even though I guess that's a good start so far, I'm ready for a bigger weight "release." I went running today--or tried to several times. I ended up very proud of myself.

Do you think running will help me release the weight quicker? And what kind of thing should I eat/drink before and after I run? Today I had a big green smoothie before I ran, water while I ran, and a banana after I ran. Is that too much?

Any advice? I'm really looking forward to start running, getting in shape, and staying happily in love with raw food!

You know what "THEY" say about a watched pot of water.....It never boils. So just CHILL, if you are eating RAW and exercising, your Body will do what it is suppose to do. You probably have years of crap to release and your Body is trying to do this and you're L@@king at a Scale and saying....Is that all you're giving me?

This is Not a Diet...its a LifeStyle. I am SO HAPPPPY you have Chosen RAW because your Body will CHANGE but NOT Overnight. Green Smoothies are Great for you. Eat when you are Hungry, thus meaning eating RAW. You still need Fuel for your Body.

If you MUST use a Scale, use it every 7 days, and the same time of the day. I'd perfer to use a Mirror and trying on older clothes. Check out the "30 Day Challenge". So just RELAX....RELATE=Read RAW Books, and your Body will RELEASE.............

Everyone's body is different. I always tell people, if your body is healthy it will lose, if it isn't healthy it won't. I'd say yours is pretty healthy if you've already lost 5#. I didn't loose weight for the first few months b/c my body had alot of healing to do. So definetly just relax! Concentrate on being healthy. It will all fall off in the right time :)

Five pounds in one week is a LOT. I think you have your expectations set too high. One to two pounds of weight per week is a normal amount. Anything beyond that is unreasonable to expect.

Hi I also started the raw lifestyle a little more than a week ago and I have not drop more than a pound or two....in spite I thought I had a more or less healthy life style before....I eat lots of fruits and veggies and none of the junk foods and I have always been very active so I understand your concerns cause it is a little frustrating as you feel like the only person who can't loose weight specially listening and reading about all those weight loss sucess stories on the Internet.

However I have been under a lot of emotional presure as I have become my ailing parents care taker for the past four years and my husband thinks my lack of weight loss progress could be realated to the level of stress I have been experiencing. You may also check on that yourself...and If anyone there can give me some feed back on how stress may affect weigt loss and if so, it would perhaps make the process easier...

Yeah, you guys are all right. I'm TOO eager for weightloss. Other times that I've been raw, I lost weight much faster so I was a little concerned. But I'm just glad that I'm raw, and I feel that it's permanent!

No one answered my question on running, and what to eat before and after?

I'm not a guy but my question for you is ~ how do you feel when you're doing what you're doing now?
