I bought a 2 lb bag of this just for myself to eat (I'm the only one willing to go raw).
Help me with ideas??
I tasted them and love them on my salads, but I won't be able to salad use them before they go bad. I was hoping for smoothies but the biting tangy taste is putting me off of putting them as a main ingredient in any smoothie.
I'm very new to raw and don't have a lot of ingredients to work with.
Hi ~ I'm able to add just 1 mustard green leaf at a time in my green smoothies. For my taste, if I add more - the smoothie has too much bite. It's got a lot of bite even adding just 1 - ha!
If I bought a bunch and knew I couldn't use them up before they'd turn - I'd toss them in the freezer and use them for smoothies once frozen. You wouldn't want to put them in a green salad after frozen, but they'd be fine for smoothies. *Ü*

I'll have to test them in a smoothie today. I hope I can handle a little in there so I can freeze them. If not I'll just cook them up and spice up the rest of the families food with them.

Do you dehydrate? That might change the flavor enough to make it more palatable to you. I have added them to a batch of kale chips. I didn't find them objectionable then, although too much in a smoothie can turn me off. I usually use mizuna mustard greens which seem to be little milder to me.
