I'm not sure of the exact difference between a cleanse and a detox??

Anyway... I would like to detox because I've been eating a whole lot of rubbish recently and my body is telling me NO MORE! :(

What's the best way to do a cleanse/detox?

Just drinking lots of water? That would be more of a fast though wouldn't it? I don't think I can fast because I have hypoglycemia - if I go too long without food, I get really dizzy & irritable.

What about drinking lots of green smoothies (for breakfast, lunch and dinner) - would that detox my body?

What would u eat/drink if you were doing a detox/cleanse?

Thanks

and MERRY CHRISTMAS! :)

Eat raw; 100%. That's all you really need to do.

I did 2 days of just juice/smoothies and that was definitely an awesome detox! Start there and see how that feels.

You probably don't want to test your health issue(the hypo) BUT dizzy and irritable are a sign of detox :) you actually get light headed from your heart slowing down a bit when you are fasting - when you are detoxing the impurities in the blood get more concentrated causing headaches and other common detox symptoms!!

This! Simply this. And Revvell would know... she's been walkin' the walk for a lot longer than most of us here.

Nope! Not 100% raw currently yet, there are times I HAVE to be because it's what makes a difference in my health, attitude, etc. So, GW, you know as well as I since YOU are doing it now! :)

kimberlysnyder.net is a good blog with useful posts on detoxing/cleansing. (They're synonyms in most cases).

Certain herbs are helpful with detox, such as those that assist the liver, the kidneys, or elimination. Burdock, milk thistle, and ginger are really good.

Greens are great... cilantro and sea veggies are especially helpful for detoxing heavy metals...

You can check out my recent post for what I'm currently doing for a cleanse.:)
