I am trying to cut out as much added oil as I can from our diet. I need the best bready or crackery recipes without added oil.
What is your favorite?
Thanks!
I like to slice eggplant and dehydrate it. You don't need to do anything else--just slice and dry! It's great for dipping and stuff. They come out a little smaller, so they're great for finger food-type appetizers!

That does sound fine - thanks. I'll have to try it, even though I know eggplant isn't hubby's favorite.
I'm thinking along the lines of something that can be made "sandwich-like" for lunches. We both love dips but I'm wondering if in that case the cracker may mostly become the shovel for a lot of high fat stuff and that isn't necessarily wise or even that filling in a "stick-to-your-ribs" type of way?
These are my favorite Flax Cracker so far - so tasty and not flaxy tasting! I use a lot of cilantro because I love it and add high amounts of spices than the recipe calls for as I like 'm savory!

When you say that you do not want oil, does that include the oil that is naturally in flax seeds.
I had some wraps for dinner tonight and they were very nice. I think that I made them from tomato, sun dried tomato, a little chilli pepper but I added some crushed flax seed to tie them together.

Thanks, DebB: Those look good.
Sport: No, I mean "added" oils. The oil that occurs naturally in the seeds, nuts, avocados, etc. is okay so far.
Wraps are a great choice. I'd welcome any recipes without added oil for those too.
I like things with veggies, but sometimes just a plain bland wrap or cracker or bread is the thing you want when making something with a filling like tomatoes or pates, etc.

Hi Every one !!
I really take so much information from this all massage !
But,
I have a problem with my early breakfast !!
In early morning! I have no more time to get heavy breakfast on my table........
So I daily get bread and Jam on my table.........
because it is very easy to make and it is very fast to serve ...........
So, please give me more breakfast list ! which is easy to make and also it will fast to make !!!
Thank You !!!
Hi!
You should start a new thread with this question or it will get "lost" in this one and people won't see it. I know people have great ideas for breakfasts, so you should get some answers if you post it.
We do really thick smoothies with chia seed in them which ups the protein and makes it nice and thick.
In fact if you do a search for "breakfast", you will find things that help you transition that seem a bit like eggs and bacon, or like crepes, etc. And there is always granola with fruit and nut milk.
Good luck

There is a current thread running on breakfast ideas. If you are stuck just grab a couple of bananas. It will be as fast as bread and jam and healthier.
