Good Afternoon All,
I thought I would post my first day of raw. So far so good. I have been on this site all day looking through older posts. Its a good way to stay motivated, reading everyone elses stories and experiences. I've been eating fruits and nuts all day as I didn't have time yesterday to prepare anything. Tonight I am going to make Alissa's mock salmon pate, fettuccine alfredo, pad thai with sauce, collard roll ups and alissa's dressing. They all seem like easy recipes. I am going to post on the 30 day challenge board as soon as I take a picture. Thanks in advance for your support and encouragement.

Hey Solchile,
I wanted to congratulate you on your first day, you are doing great!
And those recipes you plan to make sound delicious (still haven't got the book), I'm sure you'll love them!
You can count on everybody here for support and ideas, but I bet you already knew that, right? :p
Take care!

Way to go! Welcome!!! I love the rollups, with black olives in them (raw olives cured in sea salt).

Thanks for everyone's encouragement. Ok so I didn't prepare everything I wanted to last night. I did prepare the fettucini alfredo, marinated mushrooms and alissa's dressing. All are excellent. Is there an easier way to peel a summer squash? I can see the fettucini will be a staple for me. It is so good. I think I brought too much food to work. This is what I have.
marinated mushrooms - 2 (my co-workers ate the other 2)
some of the fettucini
orange
fuji apple
grapes
strawberries
cashews
carrots
celery
smoothie - banana, pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry
avocado
flax crackers
things for a salad
alissa's dressing

Solchile76,
Blessing to you. I second on not peeling the squash - I don't peel it and actually I have never had it peeled, even when cooked. I hope you enjoyed your food - you have been vey busy! Good for you. :D

Thanks for the encouragement. Next time I will try the squash without peeling it.
I picked one heck time to start my raw challenge. I started my moon cycle and I can't tell if I'm feeling bad because of that or if I am detoxing. Right now I have a massive headache almost like a migrane. I have no appetite, but I am snacking on flax seed crackers right now becuase I haven't eaten much today.
