I find so many recipes with a number of coconut products in them (coconut butter, coconut water, etc.). A few years ago I found out I had an allergy to coconut; I'm scared to test it again now, just in case I might have grown out of it or if it was really something else I was allergic to. Is there something I can use in place of coconut products or is there really no substitute for it?
Thanks so much!! :)

If it is coconut oil/butter, you can use olive oil, even in sweet things.
if it is coconut meat, you can used soaked almonds, cashews or macademias.
If you need more specifics, give us the recipe, and we will give you substitutions.
Hope this helps.
Maybe you could order a free sample of
coconut oil to see how you react to it.
This site will send you a sample if you

Awesome!!
Thanks rawpriestess!! If I EVER get my book and DVD I'll see what recipes have it and if I run into a problem with substitutions.
Mike, thanks for the link! I might consider doing that, just to see if I am still allergic. :)
