View Full Version : How are you transmuting RAW Energy

In an old blog post (http://jinjee1.securesites.net/rawveganforever/stormsblog4-24-08.html) Storm Talifero speaks about his efforts of transmuting the extra energy acquired in a RAW food diet and the possibility of how some actually become uncomfortable with this new flow of energy when they don't know what to do with it.
So have you noticed an abundance of extra energy?
If so what are you doing with it?
Has it every made you "uncomfortable" because it was so so different than anything you felt preRAW?

One day a couple months ago after about 5 days raw I had the urge to twirl and spin as I was walking out to my car after work. Of course in my SAD mind I couldn't do that, would be embarrassed if anyone saw me. Silly me. Looking back I think that was the day I broke my raw stint!! Because I stifled the energy. I will watch that in future attempts and go with it, not stifle it, not care who might be watching.
I plan to also be more in tune with the energy. Drinking a GS the other day I was buzzing with energy. Will watch for that and try to be in tune with it in the future. I'm excited about the potential.

I can't understand why anyone would be uncomfortable with plenty of energy. There's tons one can do with it. Interesting considering the reason one consumes coffee, sugar, many drugs & supplements, etc. is because they want more energy. Then when they eat healthy, they can't deal with it.
Exercise! Dance! Be creative! Change your whole life. Or the world. It can lead to all kinds of wonderful things. :D

I feel the same way Dimond! there are companies making a ton of money off of "energy drinks" etc. I personally use the "extra" energy to exercise. Why? Because exercise releases other endorphines that help me to feel positive and upbeat.
I think that when we allow our bodies to become so beat down with unhealthy foods it affects our attitude etc. We become so use to the negative energy that when something positve comes along we tend to turn that positive into what we are most familiar with, negative.
I know it's sad, but I think it's true.
Use the new found energy to literally change your life and way of thinking. It will not only benefit you but the people around you. Never be embarassed to show your zest for life. It attracts other people to you who desperately want that in they're lives.

Uncomfortable might not be the best choice of words for me to use based upon what Storm was talking about.
It's more than just physical energy I'm referring to.
During my past RAW stints the excess mental, psyche and spiritual energy has been overwhelming... I hadn't anticipated the abundance and therefor didn't have a plan for it.
I know others have mentioned before how RAW has enhanced their creativity, gotten them unstuck in life and yes gotten them physically movign doign stuff they hadn't done before or in years.
SNOOPS: The urge to twirl and spin was an excellent example. Something you felt in the moment that couldn't wait for exercise class or an obilgatory daily jog, you wanted to do it right then and there and didn't. I'm assuming conforming to the norm is what held you back... 'cause we "adults" just don't go around doing that. Reminds me of the old MAry Tyler Moore Show intro wher she twirls in traffic and throws her hat up in the air.
Huh wondered if you had just started spinning and twirling if you would have ended up whirling and reaching some higher spiritual awareness or enlgihtenment.

I twirl and spin and shout hoooray. I BE ME and no care in the world who is watching nor what they thin. Life is to be lived and enjoyed!
Others tell me that I change their world by walking in the room. Pretty cool huh.
I want to use my energy to bring ,those who dont have so much ,an awareness of how they can have it too.

I get this too... On three different continents I have been told that I bring light. As a matter of fact I have some art on papyrus full of hieroglyphs and a translation that speaks to this very thing
BRAVO TO YOU and your mission:D

I go dancing a couple times a month and dance for several hours. I find that eating fat calms my energy level. Eating greens raises my energy level. Fruit keeps me pretty stable.

Right now I'm so busy with working and running a business and caring for a young child and doing volunteer work (as well as the rest of life!) that I don't have much time for anything else, and the energy is defintiely needed!
But I still have energy left over, and having a young child is great for getting rid of some of it, I can twirl, whirl, jump and be silly as much as I like and people just think it's because I have a kid! My 8 year old son told me this morning that he likes me this age because I can still run and do things with him. Little does he know that most 34 year old mums don't do this!
I STILL have energy left over (even though I significantly drain the energy bank with late nights and early mornings, AND I'm going through a bit of detox) so I'm thinking of starting to go for a run around the block a couple of times each night.
Having extra energy for me has never made me feel uncomfortable, I welcome a higher energy state of being, beats being tired all the time! But for me I've not had cravings for non raw food since going 100%, maybe there's a correlation?
Storms blog is fantastic, I've always read it with interest. :D
Oh dear.
Hmmm.
Training for a marathon.
Bikram yoga almost daily.
Writing.
Playing.
Working lots.
Plotting. ;)
Reading a few books a week.
Enjoying life.
You know, we just have to let go of the things that do not serve us, or else it isn't always so good. But once we are strong enough (and we are as soon as we really decide to be), there's no way around it.
We have to go with the flow.
:) xxo Eva

I am many women all in one odd little package, so RAW Energy serves me well!!!
I enjoy and prosper during times of high energy.
I have a daunting life load, and as a semi-professional Performer as well as a full-time Student in a rigorous Arts programme, I am essentially required to be Health and in Tip-Top Shape at all times, so high energy on all planes is rather NECESSARY!
I perform (sing (http://www.sasomusic.org/index.htm), act (http://bisbeerep.com/bisbee-new/Once_Upon_A_Mattress_pics.html) and occasionally dance).
I dance (non-performance) with my Loved Ones.
I create!!! RAW FOODS (http://dauntlessdiva.com/raw/)galore in my pretty little kitchen...
I play with my two little Pups and spend time with my Lover.
I write (constantly) and publish (regularly).
I am a Child Rights Activist (http://www.ghfci.org) with a penchant for building public awareness (http://dauntlessdiva.com/2009/12/14/the-faces-of-project-break-the-silence/) the lyric way.
I am a Model. (http://www.55maingallery.com/clothing.php)
I am a mixed-media artist. (http://www.bizbfineart.com/content/a_mathewson.html)
But essentially, I "AM" NONE of these things... I am who I am, and these are merely expressions of that Woman.
RAW serves me well. RAW fuels my once-sickly, now-growing-daily-more-healthy body as I plunge forward through Life's Great Adventures!!!
I can't say I've ever been where Storm was/is, but I can say that the times when the Spiritual, Physical, and Emotional Energy was HIGHEST is when I was most Successful in all endeavors.

That's bout the worst thing you can do for yourself is interrupt your own train of thought/action to consider what light others are observing you in. I'm already working on taming my own thoughts, it turns to a trainwreck when I begin factoring in others's'sr's. Or some'n gay like jack in the box. Hey have you ever heard of jack in the box? Its this one toy where.

I know that fresh raw foods are the perfect foods for my body & mind. Fresh raw foods supply everything I need in a form that is easily recognized and used by my body & mind - its the perfect food for me. I can tell this from the way my body is effected by the foods I eat and yet the raw foods arn't comfort foods that ground out my emotional energies. Maybe its the lack of "grounding" that makes newbies uncomfortable ?

I ate some cooked last week and decided to get myself back on track this week. Yesterday I had two green smoothies, a grapefruit, and raspberries and when I got home I was jumping around and laughing and poking my husband and generally acting like a five-year-old I had so much energy. He just laughed at me :) I love it! I had to exercise to relax myself so I could get some sleep :)

i think that is what I love most about all I have become in all these years of growing and changing. Perhpas it is simply all these years...haha
It is this...BEING who and what I am, not even having in my consciousness what anyone else might think of me. It is when I let go of all that and came into simply being me, that others too accepted me as I am (or not) and I drew to myself the most wonderful people and the best friends and greatest energy.
So YES I dance my heart out, I sing loud, I paint wildly and freely, create rawfood with abandon (of all that went before), I laugh when I want to and as loud as comes out for a long as it does, I cry when I am so moved (and the tears drip from my chin), I love very deeply and live with meaning.
Energy, uh huh that takes energy. I love it.
Dancing, running, stretching, teaching, painting, uncooking, reading, studying, learning, loving others and being there for them, being out with my friends. How did I ever do all I did without raw? Veeerrrry difficultly.

This is some of the extra I'm referring to. When you are ready to go to bed and still wide awake and energized. Exercis e is the releaseStorm mentioned, as he use to do very extreme exercise/ play stuff just to use up energy.
A few weeks ago I attended/ assisted a home water birth. I was so amped with anticipation that it didn't dawn on me til 3 days later that I started the day with less than 2 hours sleep and made it through the next entire day of errand running and labor supporting on green juice (bottled) and 2 macroon cookies. The excitement and better than usual intake, though not RAW, jusy kept me going.

I normally play football, go to the gym and be generally active. I never thought about that until I read storms blog but I think I do get frustrated/unsatisified when I dont use it up.
