Is raw sugar as good as raw agave? Raw sugar is much cheaper than raw agave or raw honey.

Of the 3 items listed, honey is the only one that is a wholefood so has to be preferable.
I can not use it because I am vegan but I think that from a health point of view it must be best.

I think Raw sugar is just a brand name. Not really raw.

According to the description on the box it is "raw" sugar.

Well the way some producers make raw sugar is through a vacuum chamber. Basically you set the pressure to something so that water boils at an insanely low temperature (like 80degrees F). So technically it would be raw.
It would be cool if you could find out what plant the sugar comes from. Most sugar comes from sugarbeets, but depending the nutritional content could vary.

To my understanding it's just as good. However, I think that there is allot of paranoia about sugars in general. Just make sure that it's not artificial and you use it in moderation and you should be fine. That's just my philosophy.

Hi Tsurugi,
Where can I buy a food-quality vacuum chamber? Are they expensive?
I'd like to see if I could make really raw popcorn and popovers with one!
