that's not a dumb question!
I only found out about a month ago, when I read in another thread how this thing works, I'm not completely sure anymore, maybe someone else knows the exact numbers, but this is how it works:

when you sign in for the first time, you are a seedling.
After I think 40/50 posts, you'll become a sprout.
After another ? posts, you'll grow and become ?

(I told you I didn't know exactly :o )

Anyways, I'm sure Kirk and others still know how it works...

first you start off being a seedling
then you turn into a sprout at 30 post
and then into a root at 100 post
You'l be rooted before you know it!
