Hello everyone :p
As I mentioned on another thread, today was the first time I have done any serious exercise since late March and it felt great! Grant you, it was only power walking but it's a start. I used to go to the gym for 2 hours a day & that is my ultimate goal again.
What's so crazy is that after so long of being devoid of physical activity, my mind just decided that it really craved a nice long walk & when I found that my body actually gave in & then enjoyed it along the way it made me realize that with raw I desire to be so much closer to nature. I love this!

Good for you Tamara!

I too get these kind of 'cravings' to get up and go outside for a long walk!
In the last few weeks, I sometimes went out in the evening for a walk, it's so quiet and peacefull then, and although it's dark, and it's just a walk in the village, I still enjoy it a lot! I also noticed things catching my eye like flowers or things like that, or I smell the grass and the trees, and enjoy that as well!
It's true, become raw and you want to get closer to nature! :)

Hey guys...

Walking is a great passion of mine too... my mom and I used to walk 3 miles everyday after I got home from school... that was such a special time for my mom and I to catch up on stuff. We used to walk up hills and do crazy things along the way like skip between houses or run past houses of people we didn't know. It was a fun little way to get in shape and have a laugh or 2 together! It is so peaceful, and walking is also a way of mediation for me. I'm not the type to sit and meditate- walking is the way for me! Keep it up!

That is great Tamara!
I think I will make a goal of moving out of the city next year so walks will be more enjoyable in the country or a smaller town. :)

Way to go! Walking is the best exercise! Its cheap too! In the raw lifestyle, you will walk your way into a new body. Keep it up, your doing great.

Thank you Curtis & Todd,
It really does bring a sense of calm when everything else seems to be lingering on chaos :) This time of year is tough on me as far as the walking ... if it's not freezing then it is raining & nasty. I have a tredmil but it simply doesn't compare to the good ole outdoors! I guess being raised in Florida had me spoiled & now that I'm in Kentucky (although I love having seasons) it's an adjustment I'm still trying to get used to. I've only been here for a year and a half so I've still got time. I wish all my new raw friends lived closer to make the motivation to get out that much more enticing, but I do the best with what I have.
Another rainy day here ...
