Hi All!
How many of you have experienced dramatic weight loss? What about the stomach area?

Any testimonials would be so wonderful!
Thanks!
Lauri

Hi Lauri,
For myself I am averaging 5 lbs a month. Now last week when I juiced fasted it was faster.:) Now speaking from a guy's point of view my stomach is the last part to lose weight from because we store it there. But I am on track for my goal of seeing my ab muscles in February of 2005 so I am happy with it.

Rofl Curtis!! Same here with me, It's like one day in 2005 I hope to wake up, walk up to the mirror and "oh well hello ab muscles! Where have you been all this time??" :D

But to this day: no ab muscles here either, I mean, they are present, but are still hidden behind some faaa haaa haaat

I started with a 3 week juice fast, then went 100% raw after that. I lost about 25 pounds in 5-6 weeks. Then things really slowed down, calories went up a little, exercise came down, and I slowed to losing about 1 pound a month. The incredible thing though is the stabilization in my weight--I no longer experienced wild swings in my weight. I only have about 5 pounds left to goal. A funny thing happens when I exercise more.....you guessed it! I'm a pear with a very small waist (size 6 waist, size 10-12 hips)...so I don't have the stomach fat, but I'm seeing the hips come down nicely.

hehe Jay yes mine are there and becoming a bit more defined as I eat right and keep exercising them. 2 body builders I have learned a lot from, Clarence Bass and Dave Draper, are in their 60's and their stomachs looks great! So these guys are kind of my inspiration that anyone of any age can look good. :)

I haven't yet been all 100% raw for more than a few weeks but I noticed last month when I looked in the mirror I could actually see all my ab muscles which has never happened to me before in the past so it was pretty cool. I think yoga helps a lot with that. For the last few weeks I haven't been eating well or doing yoga or getting much exercise (except running all my luggage around at the airport lol) so now I don't notice ab muscles as defined, BUT I am hoping when I get back home I will be able to start doing yoga again and getting back in shape.

When my partner Matt was eating cooked, mostly-vega, he lost about 70 pounds, and then when he went raw 4 months ago, he lost another 60 more pounds! He is loving being a healthy weight (he was obese pretty much his whole life).

I lost about 18 pounds since going raw, and my weight remaining stable through some rough times (I used to be the yo-yo woman with my weight). I'd like to lose a little more, but I'm really happy with the fact that I'm maintaining my weight pretty effortlessly.

Lauri, I did not think that I was overweight when I went raw. Well, I wasn't skinny either. I am 5'4'' tall and I weighed 119 pounds then. Gee, I was so surprised, when I lost all that fat that I was carrying on my body. Yes, fat, because I did not lose ANY muscles. I weigh 105 pounds now and I still have some fat on me (I am rather a small bone person)!
This is not the end. Every month I pinch myself in my "fat" spot (thighs, waist, under arms) and they do get leaner! I am so convinced that maintaining my raw diet will make my body lean and strong. I feel so good already.
You will not go wrong with raw foods, Lauri.
All the best,
Gosia.

PS And yes, stomach area has improved a lot too!!! There is no better liposuction than eating lots of fruit and greens. No scars and a natural look guaranteed. Free treatment. Yummy foods. All done at your home. :)

He does eat healthy but being a old time bodybuilder he still believes in a lot of protein, mostly from meat but his newletter is a riot sometimes.
Here is a link to one of my favorite newsletter's he sent out.

Hi SwishTN,

I've been raw since Jan. 2004. The first 90 days on raw I lost 30lbs. I went from 210 to 180. (I'm a 6' 3" male) After 120 days I was down to 170lbs. I have since maintained that weight. My energy level is sky high and other great changes have occured in my life since switching to raw. My mental clarity and pure love of life is positive. I've posted this story many times on the raw sites I've frequented.

I hike and bike and run with my kids for exercise. It's more than a diet it a lifestyle change for the better.

I wish you the best.

Oh, by the way, this is the best site for mature and encouraging wisdom. Alissa is too cool!!!!!!!

Peace,

M.B.

I was doing a few hundred crunches a day for like 6 months until I stopped last april. I had to look very hard to find any ab definition. Thats when I went to raw. I finished a 30 day juice fast in Sept and then they started coming out! Now I can see them and with each month they seem to come out a little more. I have posted the post-fast picture on this site since I am now doing the 30 day raw challenge (I was about 85-95% before, not including the fasts). I have lost about 20lbs from May until now. I figure I will lose maybe 5 or 10 more, but it will come off when its ready.

Peace.

Todd

MB & Todd,
You guys rock! I aspire to be where you are in the near future. I'm in need of some serious motivation though. These last two days I have completely given in to my flesh, taste buds & the worst part is that none of my indiscretions even tasted good!
BUT >>>> Today is a new day! Onward ....
