We all know that raw does so much good for our bodies, and for those of us losing weight it's like a God-send. I was wondering if we could all put our success in the weight loss dept. down in one thread...that way we have a handy encouragement whenever we get discouraged. PLease post your story and tell how you did it! Thanks!!

Hi, I just started 1month ago at 147lbs and am now at 137lbs!!! I wasn't overweight before but I was bloated feeling all the time. The only thing I changed was my diet to 100% raw (w/ a few mess ups). But I continued to exercise regularly (for me that means 1-1/2 hrs 5-6 days a week).

I don't know how to post pics, but that's alright, Im not quite ready too yet. However, I want to have a good "in progress" pic, so I'll remember that next time Im in a pretty place to take one.

I have been gradually more raw over the years, so not sure where I should start. However of the last 4 months at about 90-99% raw, I have dropped 25-30 lbs. I now am somewhere b/n 118-120.

Im hoping Im not losing muscle. But, I dont think that's what the scale is reading as Im seeing more tone here and there (a little mind you!), and less fat.

The most I have weighed is 200 lbs. but that was when I was a young teenager. Im 28 now, and weigh for the first time what I did when I was 11.

Dear Jamie,

I think the ONLY reason I lived, was because I didn't know how high my blood preasure was, and I wasn't told by some "doctor" that it was death waiting to happen.

I personally believe that doctors telling us things, causes them to happen, much like a curse.

So, I don't go to doctors or listen to them, and mostly they don't come to me.

If they do, they don't tell me.

My hubby takes my blood preasure and he's the one who told me it was pretty high. but never told my how high, until it went down, then he told me it was beyond believable.

He was a medic, and after he took my blood preasure the first time and it was that high, he thought maybe his equipment wasn't working, so he took me to the pharmasist, who has a free blood preasure thingy, and we took it there, about 10 different times, on different days etc. just to make sure, and it was always wayyyyyyy high like that.

I had it taken when I was younger at a doctor's office, and it was 120/80 and he said then that it was getting a little high, so I knew that 279/179 couldn't be good.

But, I figure I'd rather live a short and happy life, than a long and miserable life, so I was never going to doctors again.

My issue, I know, but I saw enough doctors when I was a child, to last my entire life.

My mom was killed by doctors, and my brother has been in an insane asylum for over 48 years because of them, so please do NOT try to change my mind ANYONE about doctors.
