Hey everybody,
I really love poppy seeds but up till now i only knew them in cakes and pastries when i used to consume these baked "poisons".
Does anyone have ideas for interesting/exicting/delicious raw recipes/mixtures that i can blend poopy seeds into?
Thanks ahead

Ok, here we go Eric:
Creamy Poppy Seed Dressing
1C young coconut meat, or soaked cashews if coconut is not available
1/2C coconut water, or filtered water
1/4C agave syrup
1/4C apple-cider vinegar
2T white onion
1T stoneground mustard
1T poppy seeds
Dash of sea salt
Blend all ingredients except the poppy seeds until smooth and emulsified. Add poppy seeds, blend very briefly to mix.

I made Poppy Milk before, just blend a bunch of poppy seeds in water and the end result will look like milk. I recall it tasting pretty dope. Next time I'll add cocoa.
Cocoa banana smoothies are a good thing to add a helping of poppy seeds too, can you say yummers?

Thanks to all the repliers.
Apple cider vinegar is very strong and dominant, isn't 1/4C a lot?
While mixing stuff i discovered a nice mixture that gave kind of a chocolate like paste. More precisely carob paste. I blended raw tahini with honey and carob powder and put in a healthy dose of ground poppy seeds.
As far as i know, opium is not existant anymore in the poppy seeds in this form, but still i felt kind of a high after eating it, like you get from alcohol.
Interesting...

Also, I have read here, or in another forum ( i don't remember) that mixing apple cider vinegar with which is an acid, with cauliflower which is starch is a bad food combination and creates unplesant responses. What do you have to say about it?
