Completely new

Hey!

I have been looking for a site with some info on "raw". I finally found this one and it seems great. I haven't started a diet or detox but would like to know if the book Living on Live Foods is a good one to buy for more info? I think that 34 years of feeding my body with poison is enough. I would appreciate any help from anyone and everyone with some experience. lol

hey there new girl ! and welcome it's nice to have you on here :)

I haven't been raw that long but I do have Alissa's book and DVD, they both are awesome, the DVD especially is so good because you can actually see Alissa prepare the meals, I still can't believe how easy it all is.

If you have any questions, this is definitely the place to come to, people on this board are just great, like a family i guess.

Anyway, here's to your raw food journey :)

Thanks for your advise ladies. But I am now on a mission. I can't seem to locate this book (Living on Live Foods). I've called 3 book stores and searched the net and can't find it. Any suggestions as to where to look?

Today I decided to join the site. I had been looking for a site with some info on "raw" and I am glad that I found this one it really does seem very informational. I would like to start the whole detox and whole raw food preparation, but need help getting started. I would appreciate any help from anyone who has a lot of insight that can possibly help me.

I ordered my set at the end of July. It was shortly after the "Today Show" interview, which I'm informed cause quite a rush on orders for the book/DVD, therefore it was on backorder. I received an email earlier this week stating that it should be ship on or shortly after 9/13/05. I excitedly await it's arrival as well.

I can tell you that Alissa's book and DVD changed my live when I found them 8 months ago. I have read many raw books, but have to say Alissa's is by far the best for getting you started and familiar. It really walks you through and has a ton of recipes, information, testimonials with pictures, her story, how to's, menu plans, shopping list etc.

Her DVD brings it all to life and allows you to see just how simple it can be.

Thank you all for the advise. I didn't want wait so long for the book so I went out and bought the 30 day Raw Food Diet. I've only ready the first couple of chapter. Has anyone read this? Does it coincide with Alissas book? I know it doesn't go into too much datail but it explains things well.
