So I made my own spin of the mock-up tuna recipe posted here (http://www.rawfreedomcommunity.info/forum/showthread.php?t=1049)... I replaced the Nama Shoyu and the Herbamare along with a few other changes (like no pickles n stuff). The result is a stunningly delicious concoction that you'd swear is grinded up fish flesh. (ok thats gross) No but srsly it tastes much like tuna and the tuna-looking look of it helps support the illusion.

And it's not grinded up fish flesh. So don't get your panties in a bunch.

Here's my take on the recipe:

1 cup sunflower seeds (soaked)
1 cup pecans (soaked)
1/8 cup lemon juice
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp dulse
1/4 tsp red sea salt
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp rosemary
1/4 tsp thyme
1 tsp molasses
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
a few celery leaves

BLEND THE ABOVE STUFFS.

And then stir into a bowl with these ingredičnts...

1/8 cup onion, chopped finely
1/4 cup celery, chopped finely

There you have it, spread on your raw knicknacks or just do what I did and shove straight into mouth.

I had to smile at this because we JUST watched "The Cove" last night... when I was a girl I had a hard time eating fish because I was a member of several Environmental Awareness Clubs for children... then as I got older, I stopped caring about fish and started eating Sushi.

No more.

Ignorance is NOT bliss... it's just ignorance!

Btw, that recipe looks amazing... since John is such a huge fan of TUNA, methinks I will need to test this recipe out for him!

Well those are in Herbamare, I replaced Herbamare with the actual herbs. It's kinda hard to pinpoint how it affects the recipe, you blend together nuts and seeds and spices and molasses and lemon juice and all that stuff and somehow you get tuna rewards.

THIS JUST IN: The rare elusive Black Tuna is on the brink of extinction. Something has to be done.

It was then that the Save-The-Black-Tuna was created.
