Hi Everyone ;),
I want to make green smoothies for breakfast, but all I have is a blender. Does anyone know how to make one with a blender. I don't want to buy a juicer right now. Mmmmm. Preferably something with Kale.

LOL! You have ALL you need :)
Green smoothies are made by blending fruit, water and greens in the blender, not by juicing the greens first and adding the juice of the greens...the whole green gets blended to get the fiber and everything.
There are some great recipes if you click on the icon up top with the banana (search) and type in "Green Smoothie recipes" or type in "Ode to green smoothies"
I usually do banana, strawberry (and/or blueberry) an apple or pear and kale or baby spinach. Sometimes I also throw in celery. But play around and if you taste it and it's too "green-tasting" just add more fruit like another banana or more berries, etc. until it tastes to your satisfaction!
Have fun! :D

Thanks, Rawkinlocs. LOL too.
Next time I'll know to do a search first.

Sometimes we also put in honey ( if the greens are too tart ) or we'll add in a bit of frozen nut smoothy ( thingy ) I made last week, and so we're parsing it out inside of smoothies.
Sometimes my kids awaken really deficient in "something", so I put as much into the blender as it can hold.
My husband has his first green smoothy this morning. Not unlike me, he took a few hours of retrieving it from the refrigerator to finish it off.
Because I feel SO much better!! lately, I can now arrise earlier in the morning and have my husband's morning smoothy ready for him - his lunch packed, and me wide awake by the time he's heading out the door for work.
Tomorrow, we'll see if he'll ask for another "Greenie" as he calls them.

I just do pineapple and kale. It tastes great. Its also goes well with banana, but I personally don't like banana.
