Greetings All!
I am back from a two and a half week road/camping trip. What a grand time it was, saw beautiful places and met beautiful people. What a challenge I had at times remaining raw. But for the most part I made it! Ofcourse I took plenty of dehydrated goodies with me, sharing with non-raw friends and family along the way. Felt like the ambassador of raw food!! Everyone I met was so supportive and interested in this lifestyle choice.
My biggest challenge was eatting out in the small towns along the way. Places where salad consists of iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots. Gets old real fast!! I did learn that a good way to spice it up is with cilantro and avocado. ( I need a break from the avocados though now!)
At one point I was without fresh veggie/fruit and the small town/cafe did not have any fresh on hand, so I resorted to eatting a small cooked meal. Lets just say that was about a week ago and I am just getting over the effects. Felt like food poisoning. In retrospect I would have been better to eat dry toast or oatmeal. Ahh its all about learning as we go.. :D
I feel blessed to have the oportunity to take this trip and spend some much needed time with my sweety. And oh so happy to be home, ready to get in the kitchen and whip up some fantastic food!
Aside from the derailment with the cooked food I feel great, my endometriosis symptoms have decreased (I made it thru my last cycle without ANY pain meds :D ) and my energy has increased. I am ready for more!

PS I was craving BBQ potato chips on my trip, any suggestions?
