I've made the sauce and it is delicious. But as for the veggie, I searched high and wide for a yellow squash (actually saw a yellow zucchini around a week or so ago - should have bought it) and couldn't find any such thing so I bought a spaghetti squash. I think this was a definite mistake. I should have just bought a green zucchini because the spaghetti squash is so hard. I guess that is the difference between the zucchinis and the squashes. So I am steaming the spaghetti squash anyway to have with the sauce. I am so hungry now. I won't make this mistake again. Any thoughts?:)

Ummmm no.
Seems all good to me. Do whatcha gotta do with whatcha got. I always wondered about spaghetti squash if I could eat it raw. I used to love it cooked because of all the stringies but not sure what it does raw.
Anyway hope its good whatever you make!

Yellow squash is also known as summer squash.Looks like a zucchini but yellow. Not sure where you are posting from and may call it something different.

I have used zuchinni, bean sprouts and once I used daikon radish. All were good.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I steamed the squash and added it to the sprouts and the sauce. Sorry, but I didn't enjoy it at all. Can't believe this as so many here just rave about Alissa's Pad Thai. :( I now know that I should always keep my eyes open for that yellow zucchini - that must be the right one. It isn't often around in my town. I'll be on to another recipe anyway.:)

We call it summer squash (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squash_(plant)) It is always next to the zucchini in the store. It does look like zucchini but has a harder skin and a different flavor. When I made the pad thai I just used zucchini and loved it.

I used green zuchinni. Can rarely find the yellow here.
