OK folks... I've discussed my gall bladder woes and I FINALLY made a connection. I could have smacked myself really hard for not getting this one earlier.

I talked about how I have attacks more frequently since going raw and I've been trying to figure out why. I just thought it was the last 10 years' cumulative effects and I was simply worse off now than I was 10 years ago. The Lil' Fairy told me that she couldn't do much nuts or fats in general but I had never had trouble with such things. I would have random attacks after eating things like bananas or apples or other such wholesome things. Well... I've been having A LOT of trouble these last few months with my little attacks. What was making me angry is that I was having less attacks while eating cooked (I've been very naughty lately).

I couldn't understand why I was feeling so crappy raw (although energetic and emotionally up while raw). It was endlessly frustrating. I tried doing a gall bladder cleanse. Bad idea since I don't have one. It made me very ill for a day. About a week later, I'd been having one bad attack every day. Grrr... Then, while an attack was starting to come on, I had a distant memory. I remember hearing my fiance say, "Don't over do it" or something like that. I asked my fiance when he'd said it to me and it was about 3 AM the night before. All of a sudden, something started coming together.... I asked, "Was I eating nuts in the middle of the night?" He told me I was. OMG!!! I'm sleep-eating again! (A problem I had in my early 20's which partially lead to major weight gain later on and it's why I rarely keep sweets in the house.)

Here, I'm thinking I'm eating just a handful of nuts every few days but I find out I'm probably eating SEVERAL handfuls nightly!!! Holy moly!!! I've not eaten nuts (that I know of) this last week and OMG I feel better! I wasn't putting the connection together because 1) I didn't know I was eating so much and 2) the attacks always come almost a full day after eating nuts that I didn't think it had anything to do with the nuts but rather something I'd eaten that day! Sooooo.... I thought of Revvell, our wise one who sometimes needs to point out the obvious when we don't see it. ;)

yep! that will do it - like was previously suggested have you ever thought of only eating nuts when your out of the house instead of keeping them inside?-

or you could buy a few handfulls at atime.

LOLOL!!! I wouldn't call it talent! LOL!!!

My sleep-eating comes mostly from an addiction to sugar. When I was a child, I used to find strange sugary things in my bedroom and never really knew why. I didn't know that I was sleep eating until I lived alone for the first time. Food disappeared and it was the only logical explaination. I sometimes woke up with a taste in my mouth that I associate with eating something sweet late at night and not brushing my teeth right after. Right away, I stopped keeping sweet things in the house.

After talking with my fiance and getting a feel for what nuts he was eating, I came to the conclusion that I was going for cashews and macadamias. I guess I won't be keeping them in the house anymore! I've kept them in containers that are very much like cookie jars LOL. I think I'll just have to get my fats from avos since I doubt I'll be pulling out a knife in the middle of the night.
