Hello every one,
I am a long haul truck driver who lives in my truck for 4 months at a time and spend about one week home before going back out. Having this kind of life I know I will have to devote conscious effort to stay raw and healthy, but I am up for the challenge.
I started learning about the raw lifestyle a year ago when I discovered David Wolfe. Since then I have been adding more live green foods into my diet and I have been making a green smoothie once each day.
I just ordered Alissa's book and DVD and my goal is to become 100% raw beginning with the new year. My vision is to buy some land and start an organic vegetable and herb farm while also becoming a raw coach and teacher. I hope to accomplish this within the next five years.
I am starting out at a weight of 350 pounds with my goal weight of 180. My goal is to lose at least 100 pounds per year.
I am open to any advice and suggestions and look forward to learning from and contributing to these forums.

As a matter of fact I left Chico on Tuesday with a load of beer heading to Virginia. It was the first time I had been to CA. You have a very beautiful state, but I thought it would be warmer. :)

Ahhh, Chico is wayyy the heck up north. Might as well have been in New England. C'mon on down to sunny SoCal.
Saw your avatar on the other site so knew it wasn't you. Nice to see you here. Keep on truckin'! :)

Dan and RawTrucker are definitely different people. I know Dan; seen his vids; interviewed him... nope! Not the same. :)

You really should check out the raw trucker on You Tube.....I'm sure you'll really enjoy it and learn alot from him. He was about to bite the dust with health problems and now he's lost incredible amounts of weight and is enjoying much better health. It's very interesting to hear his story even if your not a trucker. Good luck on the road to raw foods. Oh, you'll love Alissa's book....it's my favorite.

Yea., you should go to "You tube" and search for "Dave the Raw food Trucker". There are 16 different videos of him on there. He went from over 400 lbs to 200 lbs in the last year. He said he carries 200 feet of extension cord and a vita-mix with him in the truck to make green smoothes. He carries a cooler and makes 3 gallons at a time.

I have a Oster blender in the truck and a small hand held blender. My only trouble is cleaning them afterwards. It's kinda hard to wash dishes in a bathroom sink.
I carry green powder, goji berries, maca, olive oil, hemp oil, Raw honey, coconut oil, etc in the truck along with fresh fruit and veggies when I can get to a walmart on the road.

pre raw i ate the dry roasted peanuts in a plastic jar , the like 16 oz size
and i saved a bunch of those jars
now i make home made trail mix out of like sun seed / raisins / dry dates / walnuts / almonds etc and put the mix in those jars to have in car or at work , i just ' drink ' the mix outta the jars while im driving
trail mix / bananas / fruit / salads is about what i live on . drink water
