Being new here I was wondering if there is an "evil" list of food to stay away from at all costs?

ive never seen a list

but one thing that comes to mind , though not raw but considered healthy by many , is soy products . ive seen some of the smarter vegans really down on them

and for me if i cheat on raw the best cheat is steamed vegi

second best vegi or bean soup

and personally ide list pop with sugar / carbonation a bad ,
i drink only water . though i cheat on coffee :o

and also i sometimes drink frozen %100 orange juice for quick energy and sweetness

another favorite old cheat right when i started raw was broiled vegis on brown rice . or dry beans and brown rice plus boiled potato . those were my last cooked vegan meal types before going raw 4 years ago

My evil list is anything grown with chemical pesticides and/or fertilizers. And anything with preservatives.

COOKED OILS! especially fried/high temp heated.

and yeah. what Raw Knitster said--anything with preservatives, fresh grapes that have been sprayed with SO2:eek: (yes, the ones in the shop right now say on the package they are sprayed with it, after harvesting i imagine, to preserve...i cant bring myself to eat the ones i bought..they have been sitting out, unrefrigerated, for like 2 weeks...still no mould. they have turned into a little experiement....!)

and, anything in a CAN or most things in jars (except miso and honey and coconut butter etc)

My dirty little list (things that make me feel bad as soon as I eat them now):

- bread, cookies, crackers, or ANYTHING with wheat in it

- peanuts ("raw" or not)

- coffee, iced, latte, or otherwise

- soy products

If I eat some steamed veggies or brown rice (though I really try not to) I feel okay, if a bit heavy. But if I should stray and eat pasta or bread, anything with wheat, I get a major stomach ache and acid reflux. This might just be me, but I think I might just have trouble digesting gluten.... I'm even hesitant to try wheat sprouts, lol.
