I was hoping this thread would show up today!
I started my day with about 2 hours cardio. 3 laps on my bike around my local park, 2 laps jogging (big park!).
I've been doing great with my strength training as well, I am loving the soreness!

Im jumping over from other thread (December already) and I have to say its so great to see everyone supporting each other:D Since yesterday was the beginning of my 100% RAW challenge it was difficult to find energy to run my 2 miles but I was able to speed walk 3 so I was glad I did it cause I was also a little dizzy. Today Im going to find the strength to follow through on my cardio/strength workout because as everyone can testify energy begets energy and I need alot of it today.

Hi everyone, I did week 1 day two of Couch to 5K this morning (11 degrees and an icy road!) It felt good. I tried to push myself a bit on the last jogging interval. It is still amazing to me that I can actually jog. Seven months ago there was no way. Thanks RAW and thanks Alissa!

A bit behind (don't do the computer thing when homeso...) last night I did 30min interval on the eliptical, my 10 knee push-up (loving this), sit-ups and squats. Need to up my squats, only doing two kinds one set of ten. I'll keep this for the week and up it next.
Raining today so a walk outside is not looking likely - I think I'll do some stairs instead :)

Today, I ran 2.25 M, did 100 crunches, 100 butt exercises, & 30 "fire hydrants" on each side... I like the idea of posting exercise, it's a definite motivator/inspiration.

Wow - what great energy here!!!
Yesterday I did 40min switching between bike and eliptical (5min/ea) on high intensity followed by streaching and two yin yoga positions which links up with my meditation.
Going to a grant writing workshop today and plan on parking a mile away so I'll get a good two mile walk in! :)

This morning:
30 min walk carrying 44 pounds of produce around (market shopping!)
40 min cycling carrying about the same inbetween two groceries trips.
So everything so far today has been just my commuting between errands.
Legs feel great! Lungs not so much, FRIGID wind today, warm sun at least.
I plan on doing my all-over body workout late tonight, as I did NOT feel well enough to do it yesterday.
I'm off to work in an hour, so I'll be doing lots of pushing, pulling, and lifting!
Have a great and active day everyone!

I am now two days behind on my Couch to 5K program, but we are in a cold snap. It was 26 below zero F this morning, and I just didn't feel it was safe to run. 19 below yesterday. So that means I will have to run three days in a row. Oh well. I am doing it tomorrow no matter what, even if it means I have to run up and down the hall of my house! It is supposed to warm up above zero tomorrow but also get more windy. I don't know which is worse.

Well, winter is officially here in Wisconsin........we have a blizzard warning in effect & our snow amounts have been upped to 12 - 16"..... I already shoveled my drive way an hour ago, but my car is already covered again - very windy today with gust up to 50mph - I have snow drifts up to my thighs from just overnight....sigh.....it would be nice to stay home today & slowly dig out, unfortunately my boss never closes the store - which means leaving earlier to go shovel there to.....
So, no official exercise....just shovel, shovel, shovel.........:(

I did Week 2 Day 1 out in the bitter cold (5 degrees but a wind chill of minus 19). I decided going out yesterday when it was -11 but no wind would have been more comfortable. I hated going, but I am glad I went, as always. I have to go three days in a row now to get it all in this week.

I just finished day 3 of week 2 so that is now two complete weeks. I had to run three days in a row since we had severe cold on Monday and Tuesday and I have to work tomorrow. Ugh, I did NOT want to go out today. Though it was a balmy 25 degrees, the wind was stronger than ever, with gusts that were strong enough to knock me sideways. Much of my route usually goes straight west, which was the direction of the wind, so I took several side roads so that I only had to fight to stay upright from a sideways direction. :p It was really exhausing fighting that wind, the hardest run yet. But I did it and I'm glad. I will be traveling next week down to Nebraska, college road trip for my daughter and to also pick up my oldest son and bring him back for Christmas vacation. I hope Nebraska is a little balmier. I will be taking my running stuff with me and hitting it there.

Hey, all, I am two weeks behind in posting on this thread. The week before Christmas week, I travelled to Nebraska to tour a college with my daughter and pick up my son. There was an indoor running track and I managed to run both days I was not on the road. After working the weekend, we had an ice storm Sunday night, very rare for this area, and it was plain dangerous to run! Like trying to run on a skating rink. Plus I put in a couple extra shifts, then the holidays happened, so no running last week. This week I am back at it and have enjoyed the first decent weather for running since I started, 20s and light wind and sun. NICE! I restarted W3 of C25K and have done two of the three days now.
I should finish this program and be able to run a 5K by mid February. Unfortunately there are no 5K runs in Montana till mid March! This is sad because I am having surgery in early March and my doctor says I should end my jogging career if I don't want to undo all he is going to do. So I guess I will not be able to run an official 5K race, but I will have my own 5K. With my large family I guess I could organize the Johnson 5K race and have some fun with it.
T-Tapp is having a January Jumpstart 30 day challenge starting January 15th, with some nice prizes. I always feel so good when I do T Tapp so I plan to do that too.

I did a lovely cypress trail hike. Instead of the circular route i went back up a very steep incline. it was so much easier on me than i thought it would be. i am eating primarily fruit these days and have to wonder if this is part of it.
So i am not really sure how many hikes i managed a week. Pretty sure i did hit my target though.
Hope you all did too.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
