I've been raw a few months now and I am noticing my taste buds changing once again.

I now like the more simpler faire of fresh fruit, never was one for too much juice, although I drink orange juice almost every day, but that is it, no other juices, no smoothies, no frozen fruits in ice creams.

I just like my fruit a' naturalllll and I am eating a lot of mushrooms, which I find interesting, I used to eat the pesto stuffed mushrooms almost every day, now I just want the mushrooms with a little braggs on them.

And usually not even dehydrated, just fresh with a bit of braggs.

I find this interesting, as I've always like super succulent foods dripping with sauces and condiments. and lots of different kinds of foods at one meal.

Now I eat a greens salad with some dressing, not a garden salald with 10 kinds of veggies, and I eat fresh pineapple all by itself.

My tastes are changing once again.

I am enjoying simpler eating, myself. Since starting raw, the most "gourmet" I've achieved is wrapping some dried nori around cucumber and avocado, and squeezing lemon on it.

I suppose it helps that I don't own a dehydrator. I am not ruling out the option completely for possible use, (I would, however like a juicer, to replace the children's juice with fresh) but I'm very much a "simplify" kinda gal, and when I started out raw, I thought, "how hard can it be? Just eat raw food, duh!". But I find I am enjoying very much eating foods in as simple a state as possible.

I find that when I have less variety (in a day, not overall - I love food too much), I am less prone to bingeing. So for me, simple works so far.

RawPriestess,

Welcome to simple. I've been doing it all along and just love it. The only recipe I make is a smoothie. It's the only way I can get kale, collards, and bananas down. Other than that one blend in the morning, being raw has been so uncomplicated. No measuring, no mess. I know everyone is different, but for me I think a great reason for my success with raw has been because I've kept it simple.

Now that you, the great RawPriestess, the uncookbook queen, is turning to simple, it all feels so right. Even without trying, you're an inspiration.

I'm finding that also. I used to do the "gormet" recipes, salads with 10 other vegetables and fruit, smoothies, mixed fruit juices, dried fruit, avocados and oils. None of them seem right anymore. Just a single piece of fruit is good to satisfy me. Combination of foods makes me feel heavy and sick like SAD diet foods did, weird.
