is this normal during detox? ive never looked so rough in my life. my eyes look droopy all of a sudden and look sunken aswell as dark circles that i already have. it seems i get every type of detox symptom lol why can't i be lucky haha
can anyone help thx.
I believe Bernard Jensen claimed that circles around the eyes were a symptom of liver toxicity - in your case, you are cleansing your liver so it may well be that you are loosening accumulated toxins which your liver is now being forced to deal with, albeit in the short term and for the greater good, in the longterm. Every rose has its thorns - why should detox be any different?! ;)

When I first went 100% raw, I had dark circles under my eyes.
But that went away and a healthy glow appeared.
I'm sure I'll have other detox symptoms, and I will be soooooo excited to receive them, as it has taken me 50 years to pollute this body, I'm sure it'll take a few years to clean it up.
Congratulations on your cleansing of your body.

I have read many articles correlating dark circles under the eyes to adrenal exhaustion. And so, maybe your adrenal system is cleaning house! That would be fabulous.
Hang in there dragonfist. :)

hey thankyou so much for all the support guys. little things i have like olives have lactic acid in the ingredients. maybe it's an animal product and i always find after eating them i feel kind of nausous along with other things like the oatmeal which i havn't eaten tonight. and after some nuts. i think i eat too much yet i do chew my food well but don't follow food combining that may . anyone know if i should avoid lactic acid like the plague because it reminds me or lactose intolerence which involves problems with the eyes

who knows maybe i can't handle the gluten in oats it's so hard to eat safely 100% raw.
the feeling sick thing and bad gas is really starting to affect me. im hoping it's just a new stage and everything
Hi Dragonfist,
How much green vegetable juice are you
drinking? Maybe you could increase your
consumption of vegetable juice and
wheatgrass juice.
You may need to do some cleansing. A
colon cleanse and liver cleanse may be
needed to restore your health.
Avoid all foods containing gluten. Gluten
is a major cause of celiac disease. Many
people have celiac and don't know that
the gluten is the cause of their poor health.

hey mike well i don't have a juicer mum wont buy one so i have smoothies everyday fruit and green leafy veggies combined.
i think it may be the gluten i have been on oats ever since i went raw.
and olives with that acid. i guess ill have to cut them out aswell
are smoothies ok? i would think their better for the fibre i guess

Hi Dragonfist,
Smoothies aren't better or worse than juice,
they are different and each has it's own
benefits. I do both juices and smoothies every day.

"little things i have like olives have lactic acid in the ingredients."
Would I be correct in saying that lactic acid is derived from dairy or is there another source.

Hi Dragonfist,
My 3 yr old daughter has dark circles too. Doctor/kinesiologist says its a sign of allergy and advised to take her of dairy and gluten. Guess what - within a week the circles under her eyes were gone. There might be more then one reason for circles under eyes and it might be detox, but you might give the no gluten a try for 1 or 2 weeks and see how you feel.....

Dragonfist, Did you mention gas and oats? I've found that whenever I eat sprouted oats I get gas(lethal), it took awhile for me to figure out that it was the oats, so I've cut them out of my diet.

Dragonfist,
Were you using REAL raw oats and soaked?
I'm curious as to whether others that use the actual raw oats like Alissa sells---have had "gulten " issues even when soaked. I also wonder if the body cannot handle gluten b/c it is not at "optimal" health levels to handle gluten?
some thoughts and questions. :)

I havent used the flaked raw oats like Alissa sells. I have used the raw oat groats, soaked and my body cannot handle them!
Maybe there is a difference with the rolled raw ones?
pssst~nice to see you Linda!

Great to see you Carmella!
So far quinoa dos not contain gluten. Amaranth has minute traces. Millet is the least of allergic reactions as I've been reading.
I need answers, my sis is getting ready to order the oats today !!!!!!!! :p
