I saw this recipe on TV to make salad dressing into solid drop sized balls that are like jello.
The original recipe which I made says to boil balsamic and raspberry vinegar to reduce the acidity (none are raw to start with anyway), then you add a bit of water, salt, sugar and agar and mix.
Now take a liter of canola oil that spent at least 3 hours in the freezer (it must be canola oil, others will turn solid, the oil does not make it into the final product so don't worry). Take an eyedropper or syringe and drop the mixture a drop at a time into the cold oil.
Now strain the oil and you have solid gellyfied balls of dressing. Save the oil to repeat the recipe or for other uses.
I'm sure this can be made raw by using apple cider vinegar, honey or agave to reduce the acidity. You'd only have to heat water to dissolve the agar, so the only cooked ingredient would be about a teaspoon of agar but many raw recipes use agar in hot water like this to make raw vegan jello.
I'll try a raw version (other than the agar dissolved in hot water) and let you know if it works well.
