I couldn't help myself. I had to eat some of the Pecan Pie I made BEFORE dinner - it is to die for! I will definitely be making this pie again for Christmas dinner. the recipe came from the book "I Am Grateful".
I should add that it is a RAW pie.

Oh it was, ummmm - I mean is (looking all shifty eyed) Thank goodness I only made 1/2 a pie. It was my first time using Irish Moss and it turned out fabulous!
Hi Mindy Sue ~ Where did you get your Irish Moss? I see Raw Food World carries it and I've been tempted to order some for desserts. Now I really want to - ha! I *love* pecan pie! *Ü*

I know how you feel... I made a Sweet Potato Pie (tastes like Pumpkin Pie, if anyone's wondering) and was really happy that there was a cup full of filling left over... we wolfed it down before we could even get out the door! :D

I feel you on that. The first time I made that raw Pecan Pie from I Am Grateful I was shocked that it was so good. I love Pecan Pie and I mean love it. It tasted just like it and I was surprised with the Irish Moss but it blended right in. Good stuff. That book has a lot of great recipes in it, especially the raw desserts. :)

I had the pecan pie at Cafe Gratitude and thought it was BETTER than "real" recan pie. I have the cookbook too but am still hesitating because of the irish moss. Its easy everyone says but you know how the first time you are hesitant. Just gotta do it I guess. I even bought the irish moss.

I ordered it from Raw Vegan Source. It was a little spendy for shipping, but I am not regretting ordering it. :D

Thanks Mindy Sue! That's cheaper (with s&h) than Matt Monarch's site... *Ü*

I don't feel comfortable posting it since it isn't my recipe and it came from a book that I purchased. If it's ok to do so, someone please let me know.
I will tell you something, if you are serious about being/staying raw, purchase the book - you will love it! :D

By rights, you should not publish it if the book is copyrighted. Many people do and most people who write books do not complain to loudly - but that doesn't make it right.
I admire you Mindy Sue for not publishing what you do not have a right to.
