Hello. A quick question:

Regarding flax crackers...I know that whole seeds are put in but what about grinding some to add into the recipe as well? I heard that the whole seed passes through your system and thus wouldn't some ground up seeds add more nutrition?

Because I don't like whole flax seeds, I always ground them up for my crackers. I'll grind them, the add water and soak for a while OR just add more liquid to the mixture to get the goopiness.

I think that maybe your body can derive some benefit from whole flax seeds if they have been soaked overnight but otherwise they should just be considered a laxative as they come out the way they go in.
