good / bad/ neutral/ what can they be compared to in taste.

I currently eat a small breakfat of some blueberries with almonds. Looking to replace the almonds.

I don't think they have a flavor at all, so I vote for neutral.

I like them, but I've never eaten them with food really. I add them to water - very good when it's hot out! They puff up quite a bit and are gelatinous. I've heard of a recipie of chia, almond milk I think, and a sweetner, maybe agave.

When I blend up hemp and flax they both have similar smells/tastes, maybe since they're both omega 3 packed? Using this logic I would guess that chia tastes similar to hemp and flax.

Chia is kind of nutty. I eat a Tbsp of it daily in water. Just let it sit for about 15 minutes and then eat it with a spoon. I have used it in some recipes, but right now I am only uncooking the recipes in Alissa's book and she doesn't use chia. I also eat hemp daily and just take a handful right out of the jar. I like the flavor of hemp and it's full of protein.

They kinda don't have a taste. They usually just taste of my water after I soak them

I'm a huge fan of chia, I think they taste kinda nutty, but not strongly so. I make a mango chia pudding with chai spices that's awesome and quite filling.

I'm also trying to heal some tummy issues and they've helped ALOT with that. I started eating them when I learned they have hydrophillic colloids, same as gelatin, that helps with digestion and is very healing

Try 'em, they're yummy and versatile!:D

I think they taste like flax.
