Hey everyone, my name is Josh, and I have a problem...
I find that I indulge in the Earthly sins and do the most horrible things in the late of night hidden in the privacy of my room...
I drink mountain dew...

Seriously though, I am going to start raw dieting and trying to change around my whole lifestyle. My biggest motivator is that I use to play soccer. Not to brag, but I was BUILT. Single digit body fat percentage, 6 pack abs, enough muscle in my legs to probably pull an airplane (Probably not...). I was a young buck who really enjoyed working out and took a lot of pride in having that studly chiseled body and was ever so happy with the guy looking back in the mirror.

Here is where it gets sad, grab some tissues.
Well, my senior year of high school during a game, a got a pretty bad injury due to someone confusing my ribcage with the soccer ball. I ended up breaking 2 ribs and a little damage to the lung due to the ribs pressing up against it. My doctor basically told me that I couldnt do anything that so much couldnt even make me breathe heavy. Running, walking distances, playing any kind of physical activity, all were GONE, for a few months.
To make things worse, being such a cardio freak, my metabolism was shockingly through the roof. Id eat 3 or 4 servings of my mothers FANTASTIC dinner (I hope she is here ;) ) on an average night, and eat all day and then go burn it off running 5 miles.
Well, when you couldnt run the 5 miles, that scenario quickly goes down hill.
As expected, I gained around 30 pounds in the first month and a half. I was ungodly sick, always depressed and struggling with everything, my body was just self destructing from the stress and rapid change. My doctor was horrified by my rapid depression, and yet, couldnt do jack cuz any form of work out was out of the question.

Well, 2 years later, My body has came back to a normal level, but I still have spots of fat on my body that just makes me sick. I cant stand seeing the little jelly doughnut where my abs use to be. I feel physically like crap still. I use to love exercise, now I cant get motivated like I was, and when I do, I just dont have the energy anymore.

That brings us to here! Basically, I finally buckled down and decided that Im gonna make some drastic changes in my life because I want to be healthy again. 6 pack abs and 5 mile runs may be a little much, but I will start with this and progress to that.
My biggest vice is soda right now. Lord, when I was sitting around thinking about soccer, I discovered the joy of soda, and now it has me in its caffeinated clutches.
I plan to switch to the raw diet, increase my exercise, and hopefully, be able to look at myself in a mirror and not cringe. My gf supports me and will be with me every step of the way, my friends are the same. I found this forum, which contains a ton of info and awesome people. Im ready to do it!

This has gone on way too long. :)

You've come to the right place! Once you're start going raw, you'll have energy from raw and living food that you'll want to fly on!! :)

Welcome Josh. Great you have support. Green smoothies are a great way to get more energy. Many other foods and super foods can help as well.
