View Full Version : I am impressed by how cautious RAW eaters are...

...from what I gather on these forums and elsewhere in the RAW Community, we all seem to be 110% aware of our bodies all the time, constantly questioning, researching and answering...

I find this impressive! My SAD eater friends don't think twice about what they pop in their mouths every 3 hrs... but my RAW friends are what my Boss calls, "Deliberate eaters."

I like this... sometimes it gets overwhelming, especially if you're New to RAW and you get freaked out seeing all the B12 posts and Tooth threads, but if you can float over all of the panic and see through it to the true intention, which is to always pursue IMPROVEMENT... then it's pretty awesome to watch and experience.

I know I get lots of looks and ridicule from SAD folks I know because of how Conscious I am of my eating habits, but... aaaah, the benefits VASTLY outweigh a little social disdain.

And if ever there were an era in which social disdain made me toss my head back and roar with laughter, it's our Confused, Cluttered, Complicated 2009! :D

Raw is ease... Raw is breathing... Raw is simplicity... Raw is FREEDOM!

- hear hear. My health and energy levels are more important than being popular! Although actually I seem to be the 'star-attraction' when i sit down to eat half a large watermelon, lots of ear to ear grins which is nice :)

- nice one GW I couldn't agree more.

I love breaking out my RAW lunches in the lobby of my programme (an Opera School)... people stop and peer at me with odd looks on their faces and sometimes folks will ask what I'm eating, and I give them a 2-3 sentence description of my lunch and then tell them I'm a Raw Foodist.

Usually, the response I get is, "Well, that explains why you're so thin and your skin is so pretty!!!"

:D

Bear in mind that I'm THIN because I'm at an OPERA SCHOOL.... :D I'm one of the tiniest folks there. ;)

OH WOW this describes my life perfectly!
haha, oh how I miss watermelon season. Except in my case, it's probably gonna mean the entire watermelon.... at least throughout the day.

I've been buying super-ripe amazing in-season persimmons for 3/$1 at my local natural market. My friend (who's pretty high-raw/veg) can't stop laughing due to the fact that I ate a total of 12 persimmons in less than an hours time.
How can life get any better when you can feel SO good about such an amazing indulgence?

I hear that every single day. :D

I was actually battling anorexia when I went High Raw over 18 months ago (my "third try")... and I managed to put on some weight.

So it cracks me up when people call me thin now because compared to a couple years ago, I'm quite curvy and luscious now!! Thank to RAW, I look like a lovely woman instead of a pre-pubescent boy. ;)

Greenie, you amaze me!!! :) We really WERE separated @ Birth!!!!

You just jumped right in my head and read my mind!!! It's "funny" how, when I say I'm a raw foodist I get stared @ like an ALIEN (at times) then told how I'm not getting enough Protein, etc.... How crazy how SAD eaters think eating dead animal flesh is healthy (MANY think Chicken is good for you), but they question TRUE sources of it!!!! Thankfully Alissa covered this in her book! Honestly, no other book I have on RAW covers this question as well as Alissa does, IMO!!!
