I just recently received mine and I love it. I read through a few threads on here that talk about that juicer and a few mentioned that the new one comes with a black auger. But mine came with the beige one.
Could they have improved the beige one or was I shipped a old one?
Has anyone bought this model within the last year or so? Which color is your auger?

I bought the Omega 8006 (looks just like the 8005 - not sure what the difference is) a few months ago. My auger is beige, although now it is stained by carrots and beets!

I love my Omega. Mine has a beige auger.
I don't know if you have used it to grind nuts/seeds yet, but it works really well for grinding them into a fine powder for cakes and such.

As far as I know, the newest model (the 8006) has a black auger which is stronger and not as prone to chipping.

Oh, that could be, that they only include the black one with the 8006.
I wonder if anyone with the 8005 has received it with a black one.
Thanks for all replies :)

I have the 8006, it comes with a black auger. One of the main differences between this one and the 8005 is the auger. The 8005 comes with a cream auger that is not as resilient as the black auger.

I just got an 8005 model last month - beige auger. Only the 8006 comes with the black / harder auger. I assume the black auger will fit into the 8005/8003 units? I am looking to do so now as I already noticed a chip in my current beige auger :-(
While Omega will replace the beige auger under warrantee...I am trying to see if I can simply pay an upcharge and get the better black auger. Looks like a $20 cost difference between the two parts.

besides the auger, the body is also chrome plastic. No big deal just mentioning it:)
