Is it unreasonable to think that I can lose 19 lbs in 30 days? I've been mostly raw for the past month and a half, and since July 1 (first couple weeks just cooked vegetarian diet) I've lost 25 lbs.

I was looking around at RawPriestess's website and she says she was losing a pound a day. I've had some days like that, but then get tempted by something cooked and it sets me back a little.

Anyway, September 27th is my 41st birthday :D and as a birthday present to myself, I'd really like to be under the big 2-0-0 :o I haven't seen the other side of that in the past three years.

I don't think staying 100% raw would be a problem for me. The only time I get in to trouble is if I don't eat enough early in the day, then a quick veggie hot dog sounds so good. So if I remember to eat, I can do it!

I just was wondering if that was a little too aggressive of a goal, or if I should plan a big party

What have you folks experienced?

When I first went raw, I lost 20 pounds in that month. With any weight loss, the first "chunk" is mostly bloat weight, then you stabilise and lose at a slower rate. I was over 200 pounds, too. (I've now lost over 30 pounds and it's been 2 months mostly raw, so the weight has slowed down a bit).

I've not been worrying about it, just going with the flow. I didn't go raw for the sole purpose of weight loss - the weight loss has just been an excellent perk.

I think anything's possible. When I did the Master Cleanse, I lost 20 pounds in 15 days. It depends upon how bad you want it and how hard you work for it. A good friend told me to ask myself this question in tempting times, what do you want more?

Good luck,

Rachel

The first time I went raw(ok,, there have been too many times :o ) I lost 20 lbs the first month and about 12lbs I think the second. I lost something like 30 lbs in 8-9 weeks.
But I was also excersing 5-6 days a week.... just 1/2 - 1 hour on the treadmill.
I think it is possible,,, but don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen. Just keep up with the raw and you'll lose it as your body can handle.

Blessings,
Jamie :)

Thanks for your input! I'm going to make a go of it, but I know if I don't make it, at least I'll come close! I'm currently working out 6 times a week, I may add some walks to that.

Wish me luck :D

Not a bit. You may lose much more than that, especially since you're exercising.
