I've read somewhere that you shouldnt combine fats such as olive oil, avocado and nuts. Why is that? I've always thought as long as its healthy it should be fine. Thoughts....

I read that somewhere, too. I disregard that advice. I enjoy salads with all three of those fats without any digestive problems.

Some people prefer to eat simpler than others. Try combining things the way you like and see if your body agrees. If an avocado slathered in olive oil and sundried tomato sauce and sprinkled with dulse and pine nuts goes well on your tummy then there shouldn't be a problem. (That comes as a DopeRaw certified recommendation)

I don't believe everything I read.
I DO believe everything I eat.
I eat healthy, I feel healthy.
I eat crappy, I feel crappy.

I love combining fats and I can get away with eating a lot of nuts BUT do you think that if I'm not dropping the weight like I should that the fats might be the problem? I know for my body type I need to do a lot of cardio, like at least 1/2 hr everyday. I read how people drop weight fast and it took me 1 month to drop 10 lbs, but dont get me wrong I loved the journey, I think I need to up my exercise though, I guess I answered my own question:p Hopping over to fitness board. Anyway thanks for all your input

Are you kidding? 10 pounds in one month is a LOT! Maybe your expectations are too high.

Thanks katchmoleen, that is true, 10 lbs is great. I think I iniatially thought it would just melt off but being realistic is key to a long term goal and change takes time. I watch Biggest Loser and they lose the weight so fast that their body doesnt have time to bounce back so 10lbs a month is good, very good.

maybe you should try some coconut oil. I love love love the coconut oil! Helps those who need to lose weight and those who need to gain, gives you energy, helps digestion, heals so many things... I always replace some or all of the olive oil in recipes with coconut oil and usually add it to my smoothies too
