Hi everyone,

I just started drinking green smoothies recently and I am interested in increasing the amount of raw food in my diet and learning more about alternate ways of preparing food.

I have been vegetarian for more years than I care to admit and have gradually evolved into eating mostly vegan foods. I am going to try to drastically increase my intake of raw foods from now on.

I am researching dehydrators, good food preparation books, websites, juicers, etc. so I will be looking for advice from the experts here.

I already have a Vita-Mix so have been having fun creating various green smoothies - here is my latest post about what I had for lunch:

I am looking forward to learning more and sharing what I discover as well.

Welcome to the Forum! I'm from GTA as well. Although I have done neither yet, the majority of folks here recommend Alissa's book and the Excalibur dehydrator. This place has been a great source of info, so I am leaning towards their purchase(s). Don't be shy!

which I so enjoyed at the end of the day, Laurel. I love art and your work is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Mmm - your food sounds yummy too. Where can I get a coffee filter like that cute one you displayed? I am fighting the same battle - trying to ditch the caffeine.:) Welcome to RFT and I look forward to reading about your journey.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

I don't remember where I got the little gizmo for making coffee, but I think it was somewhere near the checkout in a grocery store. I would check kitchen stores.

Really excited about this new raw journey - I have a lot to learn!
